There are quite a few aging RB's on the market right now. I don't think we see anybody signed until injuries start happening. McGahee,Turner,B.Wells,C.Benson,B.Jacobs. All still capable of toting the rock...ok well maybe not Beanie the Weanie but you get my point.

There is a surprising amount of productive RBs that still have at least a little tread left that are just sitting by the phone. The fact that the return of the rookie RB last year was so successful won't play well into some team wanting much to do with creaky knees. McGahee's release was expected all along.

None of the guys that Taz mentioned will ever be a fulltime back again. They hardly exist much any more anyway and about the best they can hope for is to end up the short yardage back for some team that also needs help blocking on pass downs.

I know it won't happen but I wish the Cowboys would add one of these vets.

How many of you could see him going to the Jets after what's happening there. He would be good fit for a year or two and give them a running game again.

Yeah, but why? Why would the Jets sign a guy to have him steal touches from a young guy that'll still be around in 3-4 years?

It's not like they're going to be winning many games, so why bring in a guy that MAY give you a LITTLE bit better run game if it means hardly anything?

Guys like McGahee and Turner will go to mid-level teams that have outside shots at the playoffs... teams that have injury-prone 1st/2nd backs.
