bothuwui
Michigan whooped us, just proving how strong and unpredictable the big 10 is. I hope Michigan and OSU dominate in their bowl games. Sorry if I'm incoherent, alittle drunk after the game. Go Big Ten!
skylive5
So does this vault Michigan into the #2 spot in the BCS ahead of USC even if USC wins?

Chavez
Well, maybe we could ask Big John to bust out the ol' slide rule and do some cipherin' for us.... thinking
Big John
Chavez: Well, maybe we could ask Big John to bust out the ol' slide rule and do some cipherin' for us.... thinking There are some factors in it that even a slide rule can't figure out. That is why the BCS has one too many letters in it. smash If OU and USC win today, they better be #1 and #2, but who knows with the BCS. shrug
davearm
USC vs. Michigan in BCS: Total Score USC: 7.71 UM: 19.73 Poll Avg. USC: 2 UM: 5 Michigan will gain a minimum of 1 point here (leapfrogging OSU), and perhaps more if voters put UM ahead of LSU and/or USC. Best guess: Michigan shaves 2 points off here. Computer Avg. USC: 3.33 UM: 11.33 Who knows how much Michigan will climb in the computers? Best guess: Michigan shaves 4 points off here. SOS USC: 1.48 UM: 1.40 Michigan's SOS will improve a bit but there's not much room for improvement here. Best guess: Michigan shaves 0.4 points off here. Losses USC: 1 UM: 2 No change here. QW USC: -0.1 UM: 0 USC could pick up a tenth perhaps, depending on if WSU moves up in the BCS. Michigan will get some QW points, depending on how far OSU falls. Best guess: Michigan gets -0.5 points here. Add it all up, and assuming USC's score still hovers around 8, Michigan is still behind by about 5 BCS points with a score around 12 or 13. Chavez
USC is taking it to UCLA as we speak. 24-0 with about half the 2nd quarter gone - ouch.

I don't understand... How does this prove anything about conference strength? I can see how it proves that OSU didn't deserve the #2 slot and that Michigan is the better team but, that's about it. Am I missing something? It may be one of the more even conferences but, strongest?
Gopher
McSpooner... You're team is "to" good, so I'm going to keep my "mouthe" closed. Buy a ****ing dictionary the next time you attempt to use your cumpeuter! Keep it up and you'll prove yourself just as intelligent as Private Ryan!! Chavez
URLACHERisGODHow does this prove anything about conference strength? I can see how it proves that OSU didn't deserve the #2 slot and that Michigan is the better team but, that's about it. Am I missing something? It may be one of the more even conferences but, strongest? Well, if top to bottom balance means that conference also-rans like Wisconsin possess enough firepower to beat BCS teams, that would seem to indicate that their is depth beyond the conference's top teams. Not that UM beating OSU proved that, though. But the Big Ten has more balance and parity any of the other major conferences, which is a strength. Is it better to have just Oklahoma, UT, KSU and Colorado be able to recruit with tools like national tv coverage, BCS berths, and conference titles, or to have EVERY one of 11 teams be able to boast of recent conference titles and Rose Bowl/BCS bids? I guess it depends how blinding the blinders you have on are.
McSooner
Mr. Piece of **** Gopher: Excuse me if I had a couple of typo's. I'm sure you've never made a mistake in your life. If you would like to edit, go get a f&*king job at a newspaper. If you would like to talk college football, call me sily call me rude, but call me please, jump off of your high horse, and type away. F'n troll.
Gopher
McSooner and UrlacherIsGod : Sorry, I don't really follow any of the local teams, such as the Coyotes or the Jackrabbits. I am slightly impressed by your knowledge of SD, though. I guess I am just constantly amazed by the amount of posts you Oklahoma guys put up that have nothing to say, other than the fact that you dislike the Big 10, and OSU especially. If they are really that inferior to your Big 12 teams, why spend so much of your "valuable" time and effort insulting them? The number of anti-Big Ten threads on this site just proves how solid the conference really is, from top to bottom. As far as my previous post, sorry if I flew off the handle about your grammar, McSooner. I guess I made the mistake of equating all Sooner fans with Sgt. Ryan, and therefore tried to throw in an unnecessary cheap shot. Poor judgement on my part. As far as talking football, I'm all for that, although I usually stick to the Pro forum. I usually just glance at this one from time to time to get a few laughs from the war of words between OU and OSU. There is no doubt in my mind that OU is the best team in either conference this year, but I just don't see why either side has to make some of the obnoxious/naive statements that they do about how their conference is so superior to the other!? Urlacher is overrated, by the way.
