DMD
Of all the wideouts that probably dserve a broken nose, it had to happen to Boldin instead. PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin's nose was broken Thursday in practice. It was the second training-camp injury for Boldin in as many years. This time, though, he should be able to return before the regular season begins. Boldin, who got a $23.5 million contract extension Sunday, tore his right knee warming up for a practice last Aug. 10, had arthroscopic surgery and missed six games before returning Oct. 31 at Buffalo. Cardinals coach Dennis Green said Boldin's nose was realigned in Prescott. He wasn't sure what other medical procedures would be needed or what the timetable would be for the star's return. Boldin might need added protection on his facemask after his rehabilitation, Green said. "Broken noses do occur in the game, unfortunately," Green said. "He kind of got a blow right in between the facemask and his helmet. We'll know more about that once we get an idea from the doctors." Boldin, a third-year receiver from Florida State, set an NFL record for receptions by a rookie in 2003, catching 101 balls for 1,377 yards. He was honored as the league's offensive rookie of the year and invited to the Pro Bowl.

Pitbull739
Heard on local Phoenix radio today that Boldin had his nose reset and will be back at practice next week, but will miss the first two pre-season games as a precaution.
