They just showed a replay on TV, Sproles was falling away from the ball - unless he is plastic man - there is no way he could have caught the ball. The question is when does the opportunity to make the fair catch end? This is as bad as the "tuck" rule from 2 years ago. PantherDave Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) FYI-This year has been the worst officiating I can remember in many Moons , now I'm glad the Falcs lost yesterday(being a Panther Fan and NFC South standings and such), but they called Schaub out of bounds at a crucial juncture of the game, and the Lad was in by at leat a yard and a half-it's been horrlble this year-time for some young aggressive blood IMHO. There is no way Sproles could have even touched to ball again before it hit the ground let alone catch it. Bad rule, worse interpretation.
