Skippy
Skip, we are usually in-synch on our thoughts, but, I've got to respectfully disagree here. You are leading by 11, you have to be conservative there. If even a long pass is intercepted, the Colts offense can score in an instant. Also, they have been getting constant pressure on Ben, so the danger of a sack and a fumble is there as well. I agree with the strategy. 1267027 No really I get and agree with what you are saying. I'm just saying that the time was short enough that they could have gone for some very high percentage plays. Hell, we could have eaten a sack as well. I just don't like to let up at all against a team like the Colts. But really, I do agree and wouldn't want him throwing anything that was not right at an intended target. If you get what I mean. theeohiostate
He has been making them non-stop for 2 weeks now. 1266999 Yep, last week, i made on totally bonehead statement that you disagreed with that the Bengals could have beat the Steelers with Palmer. Once again your blind homerism haunts any logic.

Otherwise, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

It's the usual Peyton Manning in the playoffs. 1267031 yeah but this is not NE Pats on the road ...this is a game Indy expected to win ( hence the 10 pt betting line ) ...Peyton will get to the big Dance one of these years and i beleive most expect it to be this year ..now will have to see
isleseeya
This game ( now that Colts punted and did nothing again to start 2nd half ) reminds me of that video clip when Vince Lombardi yells " what the helll is going on out here " ? Caveman_Nick
...And Pitt over Indy in Indy. Yup, I see that as being an unpopular choice. If Indy does pull out the win, they will be well beaten up. But I see Pittsburgh beating them with excellent ball control and power defense. FWIW, if Harrison were 100% and Dungy didn't have his head in a terrible family tragedy, I would feel differently. The guy can't have his heart in this right now. Indy is far and away the most vulnerable in this game, and Pitt is good enough to win. Bob finally put his finger on the reasons I think the Colts are doomed to lose this weekend. He did pick them to win, so we don't exactly see eye to eye on the game, but the reasons I think the Colts will lose are the reasons he thinks it's possible. That mainly comes down to 2 things. #1 is the pressure of being the top seed, an honor which has eluded the Colts for a few years now. They could go the other way with it, but because of #2, I think the effect will be detrimental. And that #2 is the emotional drain the last several weeks had had on the team. I am not there to see things, but I can only imagine how the death of Tony Dungy's son must have on that team. They all must feel terrible for their coach, and I would imagine that it is every time they look at him, speak to him, or are spoken to by him. Again, these factors could very easily work both ways, but I am guessing that the most likely thing will be for that emotional rollercoaster of being 13-0, losing at home to SD, losing James Dungy, losing again, having time off to let all that stuff swirl around in their heads, etc.. will be their downfall. And it's too bad for Indy fans if it happens, because I was one of the people that thought that this team was easily the class of the league before it all happened. 1262059
