Sam
From Footballguys daily email update "This will be first time I've worked with a quarterback who knows anything about football." -- ABC broadcaster Paul Maguire (and former broadcasting partner of Joe Theismann and Phil Simms) on his new assignment this year working with Bob Griese. The only thing Maguire has ever said that makes any sense but talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

skylive5
Maguire, who only played in the AFL and never the NFL, was a punter and sometime LB. The guy wouldn't know a good QB from a bad QB. And while Theisman should never, ever, open his mouth... he was a decent QB. As was Simms.
Kid Cid
No doubt Maguire is a class a jackhole. The only thing worse than listening to him was to listen to Theisman and him. Neither should be allowed near a broadcast booth. However, both Theisman and Simms knew a little bit about playing QB.
Swashbucklers
It always seemed to me that Theismann and Maquire had a playful relationship on the air. I am going to assume that Maquire was simply joking with this comment. if they have ever listened to themselves, they would know tha one is not better than the other! Big Ernie McCracken
Maybe P.Maguire should try to stay sober through the first half. Drunk worked for Howie and Summerall but P.M. is pathetic.

Kung-fu Midgets
I always called MacGuire "Walrus Man" when I saw him doing the Sunday night games... just kinda looks like one...
