gahs7 Posted June 9, 2006 Author Share Posted June 9, 2006 Last year was year 1 of this league, in the offseason we have option to keep 8 players and carry them over, we have 4 years left, should i trade gates for t.o. here is a list of some TE's available in our draft, i draft 12th overall, not many, gates is young and t.o is well a stud but risky thanks!! I would rather have Wayne, Burress, Gates over TO, Clark or Davis, and then Joe Horn So if you start only 2-WR's I wouldn't do that trade. If you start 3 then I would consider it. I'd think twice about that one, especially since Owens is so unpredictable. I'll throw another stat out for you as well. Go back over the past five seasons and see how many games Owens has missed during the Fantasy Playoffs (Weeks 14 - 17). You may be surprised to find that it's virtually ALL of them. Remember, he puts up top 10 WR type numbers. So swapping Gates for TO is like swapping a top 5 WR for a top 10 WR....But you will drop from the best TE to a scrub, unless you score V.Davis. I would be very nervous to pull the trigger on this deal unless you can secure a top 8 type TE in a deal. See if you can pull another team in the deal or take his other TE away.
