WR or RB Strategy

I have a strategy question

My auction keeper league moved to a flex player this year and added 1 pt per catch. All other scoring is basic 1 per 10, 6 td

I can save Holt,Boldin, and Branch and use Branch as my flex player. This will allow me to go get a stud #1 rb. Am I better off following this method or should I go get another Stud WR and settle for a guy like Westbrook or a guy like Dunn to start due to the points per catch.. Mapping out the points a top WR is as good as a #5-7 rb????

just to clarify I can start 2rb 2wr OR 1rb and 3wr

Thanks

A lot of it depends on how much the players you want to keep would cost, how much you think the players you want would cost, and how much your total cap is.

And for future reference, these type of questions belong in the fantasy advice forum. FYI as this post will likely be moved to that forum.
