jknyc1
Was wondering what you guys thought about Branch's chances of being a key player in the Seattle offense going forward. When Engram comes back, doeshe get benched?
Egret
They're not paying Branch a boatload of money to sit on the bench. He's keeping his starting role.
Chief Dick
Branch gets benched right about the time George W Bush eats tootsie rolls while strumming a banjo.
Skrappy1
They're not paying Branch a boatload of money to sit on the bench. I don't see why not, they're paying Nate Burleson a boatload of money to sit on the bench. FWIW, I agree that they certainly won't bench Branch. But I don't see him putting up big numbers on a weekly basis either. Jackson and Hasselbeck have been playing together for a while now, so I can't see Branch being anything more than Hasselbeck's #2 WR at best. And seeing that the Seahawks also have Burleson, Engram, Hackett, and will soon be adding Jeramy Stevens to that bunch, not to mention maybe getting Alexander back in a few weeks, it just seems that there are an awful lot of guys to spread the ball out to. Not too dissimilar from Branch's situation in New England, but worse. I'd expect his production to be very inconsistent.

I guess I should have been more specific. I meant does he keep his starting position opposite DJax when Engram gets back or does he rotate in the slot with Hackett et al. Seahawk37
Branch will be the number 2 starting wide out. Engram wouldnt be a as big athreat to take it away as Burleson is. Engram is our perfect slot receiver. I am positive the way Burleson is running his routes that Branch is gonna be starting.
