Wolv
Form NFL.com News: Lions RB Kevin Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 12 vs. Miami. Analysis: There is currently a 50-50 chance Jones will be able to play against the Dolphins on Thursday. Continue to monitor the situation leading up to kickoff, but also consider using a healthier Fantasy option for Week 12. 50-50 now? May make grabbing Harris a bit less attractive now.... CaptainHook
Yeah. Unless your other options are Ron Dayne or Tatum Bell. Then Harris looks pretty good. Seriously, in one league I've lost Jones, McGahee, Leftwich, Bledsoe, Fitzgerald, started Favre last week. It's a miracle I'm 6-5. But losing Jones may be the coup de grace. Hope he plays. By the way, do Jones and Roy Williams lead the league in leaving the game after one catch or one carry? It happens SO MUCH with those guys. Very frustrating. CaptainHook
the others imply that he is definitely OUT, do they not? Edited November 22, 2006 by CaptainHook
giantsfan
News: Several key members of the Lions offense, including tailback Kevin Jones, were listed as questionable for Week 12 vs. Miami on Tuesday's injury report, a designation that Marinelli has often used for players who wound up not playing. Marinelli didn't sound optimistic about Jones' chances for Thanksgiving, but stressed the injury could have been worse. "It's not a high ankle sprain, just an ankle sprain," he said. "But you never know with ankles - different players have different responses." Analysis: Jones is not only the team's best runner, but his 50 catches are second to Roy Williams among all Lions and second in the NFL among running backs. Continue to monitor the situation leading up to kickoff, but consider using a healthier Fantasy option for Week 12. This is great news. Not a high ankle sprain. My thought is out Thursday for sure but back next Sunday week 13 for sure. And back for 10000% sure in week 14 which starts the playoffs. This is great news IMO. In fact, at this point I hope they simply do not play him and let him rest easy for a good two week, which only makes him miss one real game -- Thanksgiving. While this is the worst of all games to miss, he'll probably heal quicker if he takes the time off versus possibly causing further-injurying his ankle. Skrappy1
By the way, do Jones and Roy Williams lead the league in leaving the game after one catch or one carry? It happens SO MUCH with those guys. Very frustrating. I agree completely Hook. Jones has been better in that regard this year, but last year it seemed like he would leave the game early about half the time.

And he won't play Thursday I am 99.9% sure of that. Hopefully the 14 days between games for him will have him healthy and ready to roll in week 13. yo mama
Confirmed here. Despite being listed as "questionable," Jones will NOT play this week: zero chance. Probably not Week 13, either. No high ankle sprain, though, which is nice. Edited November 22, 2006 by yo mama
Flip_Side
Neither Harris or Jones should be options anyway going against the Dolphins D.
