ESPN does a quick video show that they call the weekly Coors Light 6 Pack - The Cold hard Facts, where Jaws is asked six questions.

This week the six questions & Jaws answers summarized were;

#1) Who is the front runner in the NFC?

Jaws - The Chicago Bears.

Come playoff time, the road to the NFC Championship will run through Soldier Field. It's going to be awfully hard for anyone to go there & beat the Bears.

#2) Are the Chargers the team to beat in the AFC?

Jaws - No.

While the Chargers are a really good team, I think Indy is the team in the AFC. Their offense is rolling as expected & with Bob Sanders coming back, that will solidify their D.

#3) Will the Broncos make the playoffs with Cutler?

Jaws - Yes.

Cutler will bring back the deep ball that has been missing from their offense.

#4) Is Mike Vick the cause of the Falcons troubles?

Jaws - No.

When you win, the QB gets too much credit & when you lose, the QB gets too much of the blame. They need to run the ball better & the offensive line must protect Vick better. If you give Vick time, he can make the down-field plays.

#5) Can the Giants make the playoffs?

Jaws - Yes.

They're a veteran laden team & they will come together for a playoff run.

#6) Which 5 - 6 team will make the playoffs?

Jaws - None.

But since you asked, the Vikings. There's two things you have to be able to do in this league, to make the playoffs. One is, you have to be able to run the ball & the other is, you have to be able to stop the run. The Vikings can do both.

:D

Of course, the way things look, they won't do squat once they get in....

#3) Will the Broncos make the playoffs with Cutler?

Jaws - Yes.

Cutler will bring back the deep ball that has been missing from their offense.

Is it the deep ball that's missing? Or the production from the receivers?

I look at the Broncos and I see that Plummer isn't working everyone into the offense like he used to. The Bells don't catch particularly well out of the backfield, there isn't a reliable fullback, no WR has stepped up to compliment Walker and Smith, and the offensive coordinator for the last decade is gone from the booth.

I'm willing to accept that Shenanahan knows a thing or two, so I'll remain open to Cutler's possibilities for being a productive QB the remainder of this season, but it seems like a long way from the doormat of the SEC to the heat of an AFC West playoff chase.

With the way the Bears are playing, I don't consider them the frontrunners right now.

I say Dallas. I also think that everyone is overlooking what is going to be a healthy Seattle team come playoff time.
