Big Score 1
I know this is more a thread on Turner as the Cowboys HC, but I'm far more interested in the impact to Gore if Turner leaves as the 49er's OC. Anybody heard anything as to who Turner's replacement would be on the 49er's & what type of offense said new OC would favor?
Whiskey Pimp
Has Norv been hired for any position with the Cowboys yet? I thought I saw him cheering and shaking JJ's hand when it was announced that Irvin was accepted into the HOF. Was he just there as a guest? J.D.Morrison
I'm thinking Rivera gets it.......if Norv was the answer, Jerrah would have already gotten it done.... Thank God he's not the answer........I hope. Discaimer - This opinion is only good for the next 24 hours or until Jerrah indicates otherwise. In no way does this opinion constitute an official opinion from Husky Nation.
The Wolf
I know this is more a thread on Turner as the Cowboys HC, but I'm far more interested in the impact to Gore if Turner leaves as the 49er's OC. Anybody heard anything as to who Turner's replacement would be on the 49er's & what type of offense said new OC would favor? Interesting point of relevance not only for Gore owners but also for owners of either of the two Dallas backs. I don't recall Turner ever employing a RBBC so it would seem likely that he chooses one as his workhorse. Of course, I don't have any of these guys... HowboutthemCowboys
The Cowboys brought in Colts assistant head coach Jim Caldwell on Wednesday as the 10th different candidate to interview for the head coaching vacancy that opened Jan. 22 when Bill Parcells announced his retirement. As of Wednesday night, the Cowboys do not have scheduled visits with any new or current candidates. However, team spokesman Rich Dalrymple would not say the interviewing process has officially been completed. just hire somebody already! FWIW, I think it's HC Turner, OC Garrett, DC Rivera. Chargerz
Wade Phillips is the new Cowboys HC. Just heard this on our local TV sports show. Damn it!!!! First Cam and now Wade. It's like rats off a sinkin' ship!!!!
Gunther
Mort announced that Wade Phillips is the new Cowboys HC. Not sure I'm terribly excited about this...we'll see how he does. Certainly seems sound defensively. I did notice he took Denver and Buffalo to three WC berths as a HC...but they lost in all of them. I'll certainly be interested in hearing what other Cowboys fans think about this.
DMD
I had a dream that it was Caldwell. If that ends up correct, I will start dreaming about lottery numbers. Mostly though, I worry about myself for dreaming of who the Cowboys will hire. That just cannot be healthy.
