Ursa Majoris
This is from a review. The funniest thing I've read in weeks. Possibly the most important Japanese gothic sci-fi tentacle sex horror metamorphosis allegory of our time No, no, surely the most important Japanese gothic sci-fi tentacle sex horror metamorphosis allegory of our time was Two Punk Octopi F*cking In A Dumpster by the Japanese director Assaburnino. Believe me, when you're watching it you are constantly doing the pause-and-rewind - mainly because your brain cannot process it - "no, I can't possibly have seen the image my brain says my eyes just sent to it. <rewind, rewatch scene> ....." AtomicCEO
(click on smiley for link) The first costume is not a monkey... it's a Tanuki, a famed figure from Japanese mythology. It's like a Beaver, but it has gigantic testicles. Theoretically, he can use his giant testicles to glide or parachute. You'd think that this was some bizarre porn thing, but it's not. In Super Mario Bros 3, when Mario grabbed the "Beaver Suit" that could mysteriously fly (surely you wondered why this made sense)... it was actually a Tanuki suit in the Japanese version. AtomicCEO
Why are you so down with Japanese mythology (of the gigantic testicular nature no less)? It was a rare crossover between my love of Tom Robbins (and my least favorite work of his, called Villa Incognito), and my love of old-school video games. It stuck in my mind.
