Big John
And now the Seahawks have the 120th pick... Ted Thompson should trade away all of our picks and have the entire 7th round. They had #119, , took OT Barbre
piratesownninjas
Yeah, I just missed it. I was coming back to delete it but you beat me to it. Thanks Big John.
Chavez
As for Weddle, I would have LOVED to see him as a Packer, but he was off the board in the early 2nd round. Long gone by the time we took Rouse. Yeah, I know he wasn't an option. I was kinda surprised Weddle went THAT early, but he's just a gamer. Maybe teams are beginning to value that again. Randall
They had #119, , took OT Barbre He's intriguing. Small school, could be guard or tackle. 6'4 300 lbs I think. Ben Patrick's still available. Edited April 29, 2007 by Randall
Chavez
They had #119, , took OT Barbre In the PFW write-up, they say he comes "from a small town and could be overwhelmed by the bright lights of the big city." I guess THAT issue isn't a worry, at least. Capsule - started 37-of-43 games, dominated D-2, great character guy, needs to be coached up but has a good chance of succeeding in the NFL, probably at guard. Again, solid pick w/little flash from TT. I have a hunch that at for however long TT is GM, all his drafts are going to look like "C"s at first blush. Here is a question... At what point to we draft a tight end? Ben Patrick is still out there, right?
piratesownninjas
I've got to remember to look at it like we got Brandon Jackson AND Aaron Rouse with 2.
Chavez
Ben Patrick AND Scott Chandler both are rated above the 4th round and are still on the board. TT doesn't draft for need. His own words. EDIT - not to mention that consensus is that this year's TE crop is heinously awful. Edited April 29, 2007 by Chavez

piratesownninjas
Just saw that we have 191, 192, and 193 in the sixth...
Chavez
So does need+Value not equal anything? Signs point to no. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a little bit of a run on TE prior to GB's next pick - it's getting to that "what the hell, we like the kid" point of the draft. Chavez
Just saw that we have 191, 192, and 193 in the sixth... Don't worry, Ted will swap at least one of those for a coupla 7th-rounders.
piratesownninjas
Travarous Bain Where is he projected to go? I like this guy a lot, and I've read that the packers staff came away impressed after meeting with him.

Randall
Clowney? Picks remaining if TT doesn't trade them all for every pick in the 7th round. 6 17(191) 6 18(192) 6 19(193) 7 18(228) 7 33(243)
piratesownninjas
I guess Ted knows something about Hawkins or some other corner thats hidden on the depth chart.
Randall
I guess Ted knows something about Hawkins or some other corner thats hidden on the depth chart. He has 3 picks in a row coming up later. Patrick or Michael Allan would be nice. Allan ran and caught well at the combine. Brett needs a TE.
piratesownninjas
6.87 60 meter dash and a 4.35 40 on outdoor grass... NFL.com compares him to Kevin Curtis. I guess he's our speed guy.

piratesownninjas
FWIW Shannahan just said they wanted Justin Harrell and Javis Moss. As soon as Harrell was taken, it forced them to move up to ensure they got one of there guys.
