AtomicCEO
"New pic will be set in Southeast Asia and uncover the fate of the surfers' leader Bodhi who was supposedly killed by a giant wave" Supposedly??? Quite frankly, this ruins the first movie for me. Bodhi wasn't some shyster trying to escape the FBI. He was there to give his life to the surf. He would rather let his soul become one with the water than to live his life in hiding. This whole concept ruins the spiritual lessons of the original. Czarina
It IS a joke. It's just on the producers.
Dirty Sanchez
For any of you that saw Grindhouse, the teaser trailer "Machette" is going to be made into a movie.

AtomicCEO
Part of the reason the first movie was the masterpiece of cinema that it is was because of the intense character development. This wasn't some "cop chases bad guy" movie. Keanu, as Johnny Utah, made you understand, but question the motives of the law... and Swayze (in his brilliant performance as Bodhi) made you really sympathize and respect his lifestyle, but know that his means of achieving it would his undoing. But who was the real bad guy? The one who steals a little money, or the one who pretends to be your buddy and then stabs you in the back just to do his job? It was a story of loss and karmic retribution. This sequel, unless it is superbly done, shatters the moral lessons of the first movie. I'll watch it... in the theatre... but I'm not psyched about it. Savage Beatings
The bank robbers will be wearing W masks this time, and will get caught in the opening scene as they stutter and fumble all over each other. The rest of the movie is about how Keanu Reeves saves history by riding in a time traveling phone booth at the Circle K.
