Timmypg
I'm watching a friend's slow draft and I'm very perplexed. It's 0.5 PPR for RB's and 1 PPR for WR's & TE's. Starting lineups are: 1 QB, 1-3 RB, 2-4 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, & 1 Def. Regular scoring with bonuses for 100 yards. Now, my question is. Why are so many WR's being taken early? I'm in a draft with basically the same scoring in a few weeks & now I'm wondering if I should prepare for this or if my friend just has a weird group. Below are the first 2.5 rounds as that is as far as they have gone. 1.01 1. I put this here and not in the advice forum because I'm not asking who I should take, I'm just asking if this is normal. This looks fairly typical for a PPR league to me. Especially since the PPR's are slanted in favor of the WR's.
loaf
looks like people panicked. It's not that normal for most everyone to go RB-WR but it's not a bad choice given the scoring.
Bronco Billy
Aside from the Steve Smith at 1.05 boner, the WRs are going a little early but not so much that it's totally out of whack. I'd bet the league watched one of the owners load up on stud WRs after round 1 while everyone else was going RB/RB/RB in the first three rounds in previous years and watched that owner kick ass when he was getting two of the top WRs while other owners were squabbling over RB 25 vs RB 28. Big Country
They may be jumping a little early on WRs than is typical, even with just 0.5 PPR to RBs and a full point ot the other positions, and, I suppose the requirement of only 1 RB is coming into play here. Not neccessaril atypical, but the WRs are going earlier than normal, but I really think this may have to do a lot with only 1 RB being a mandatory starter
rattsass
Steve Smith at 1:05 does appear to have sparked a harder than usual rd 2 run on WR's. If you are drafting 5th, that is just strange in my opinion, but otherwise not out of whack.

Timmypg
Thanks all. I'm just looking at this & thinking I love the-pack's first two rounds. Alexander & Rudi from the 11 spot. Wow! FYI my friends team is Gryffindor Lions (Yes, I made fun of him for this).
