realcorker
I've got the #3 pick in my draft tonight and I'm stuck on who to take in round 1; LJ or Gore? I like Gore's upside, but his injury histroy and tougher schedule has me leaning to LJ. On the other hand, LJ is the total offense for the Chiefs and teams will stack the box against the run. Who would you take????
Flypaste
I had #3 and picked LJ in a TD league with length of score bonuses. In a standard performance I would consider Gore but his health is a concern for me... Tough call. Go with your gut, you'll end up with an elite RB either way. realcorker
Flypaste, I agree with you on going with LJ in a TD league and with Gore's injury history; I think LJ will get the nod
REZ
I like Gore a little more. All those carries LJ had last year worries me for this year.
giantsfan
I had the same choice and took Gore. If you get any pts per catch, I get .5, I like Gore for sure. If it is TD heavy I like LJ. If no PPR performance that is the tough call. I think I edge towards Gore. And by the way, looking at their schedules I'd say very least they are equal. SF has 6 games against Zona, the Rams, and Seattle. Meanwhile KC has 6 games against Den, SD, and Oak. MUCH easier for SF.
lawn saver
I like LJ.... Every team knows he gets the ball a lot and they still cant stop him. Gore is great, dont get me wrong, but I think SF will have a more balanced offense this year. I had the 7th pick last night and Gore few to me....I was amazed!!! suburban_pimp
It is a tough call in many ways this year as there are so many questions around anybody you deem worth a 3. In order of most conservative to most risky, these are the names I'd consider - in a PPR format: Addai, Gore, Johnson, Alexander In a traditional format: Alexander, Johnson, Gore, Addai They are all so close in value that you could be fretting over maybe 2 points a week here. Clubfoothead
All things being equal (I consider LJ being the only option in KC of equal concern as Gore's injury history), I take the RB on the better team. That's SF so mark me down for Gore.
