Cunning Runt
****DISCLAIMER***** This is nothing more than a prediction, but I will go on record now as predicting that some time next week (following the Falcons' bye but before week 9 games), Petrino will announce Norwood as the starter and commit to him decisively vs. what we're seeing now. Just watch and see.
petro69
I hope you are right. I have Norwood in several leagues and have been holding on to him waiting on either Dunn to fall out or Atlanta to suck. Well Atlanta sucks and Dunn's on that ledge waiting to get pushed off. I need Norwood as a good flex player option to have available for injuiries and byes.

That would be a reasonable prediction if Petrino hadn't shown himself to be some kind of mentally stunted HC, much like Fox in CAR keeping D Williams on the bench and Jackie Gleason Wade Phillips stunting Barber's production in DAL with the turd Jones. Norwood has been a major disappointment and I just don't see how that changes, barring some kind of IQ injection into Petrino, or maybe having him stay at a Holiday Inn Express. MrTed46
Even if it happens I dont know if he will be any good on that team this year.

I'm trying to acquire him now...Lee Evans for Norwood. Both have been disappointing but I'd rather have Nowrood on my squad.

chinatown dragons
Hope you are right.... have Norwood stashed on my bench.....with Ronnie Brown out....Gore struggling, and for now, a RBBC in Indy (got both Addai and Keith) would LOVE Norwood to take over the starting job! Just watch and see. Well - I haven't heard anything yet. Who knows, maybe I've got my head up my arse. I will say that another website I peruse is saying that it's being reported (maybe "being speculated on" is a better way to phrase it) in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Norwood will be the man. I haven't seen anything along these lines myself - only what that website is saying. At least it's a step in the right direction no? kingfish247
...At least it's a step in the right direction no? AJC has had their collective heads up their asses on the ATL RB situation. When they reported Norwood would see more action earlier in the season, they failed to mention that it meant he would be returning kicks. Recently they've been reporting that Norwood will see more and more carries. Well that's really just a guess based on how crappy the season is going. Until Norwood gets a clue on pass protection, Dunn will still be a big part of the ATL running game. Petrino wants anyone who will follow his way AND do things his way... that means Dunn will be in the picture to prevent anymore ATL QBs from getting killed even if that means the running game suffers. Have cd & your wife ever been seen in the same room together? This may not be as much of a coincidence as you think...
