dabuffbills
Went to see the film last night, and it is one of the best films I've seen in a while. Everything from the powerful acting to the engaging storyline leaves you fascinated the entire time. Daniel Day- Lewis gives a great performance, along with Paul Dano. But it's much more than the strong acting. The film creates a vivid world of the oil tycoon and his impact on the town where he is drilling. The cinematography was amazing and the script combines terror, humor, and excitement. I highly suggest seeing this film

I highly suggest seeing this film Uh, I thought it was great looking, and greatly acted, but dang.....there was a whole lot of nothing going on. The ending was very appropriate..... A violent bludgeoning of the only other character that remotely represents a conflict, with a shout of "I'm finished!". An over the top performance in a story that was considerably less than compelling than I had hoped.
Coffeeman
Looking forward to seeing it, before it leaves the theatres. From the trailers, his focus on the $ goal makes Gordon Gecko look like a pansy Commie....

darin3
is this the rambo sequel? Lots of blood in Rambo, I hear. But seriously, this film looks real good.
dabuffbills
Uh, I thought it was great looking, and greatly acted, but dang.....there was a whole lot of nothing going on. I'm sorry you feel that way. To me, there was a lot of conflict, not only with the people he reacted with in the town, but also with his son and with himself. There's more to a movie than just constant action and bloodshed.
