TimC
Great deals out there right now. I got a very slightly used full-sized pick-up truck for a song. I think they were just happy to have someone looking at cars. Now is a great time if you don't want some gay hybrid death trap.

What would you be using it for? Towing/hauling or just around town, to/from work type of driving? If that latter I'd recommend the Honda Pilot. Decent sized SUV and pretty good on gas. My wife and I love ours.

dmarc117
and should i lease or buy? im thinking the resale value of suv's will continue to plummet so leaning towards leasing.
Big John
I thought you would a bit more about this as you worked for a car dealership.

Never did a lease (my daughter did one), but the (assumed) resale value will affect the lease price also, doesn't it? How long do you intend to keep it? Miles driven per year? AtomicCEO
and after what happened will, for the rest of my life, pay the extra gas premo for a bigger suv!! Why not just learn to drive?
yo mama
and should i lease or buy? im thinking the resale value of suv's will continue to plummet so leaning towards leasing. Leasing makes sense if you only plan on driving the car for 5 years and then getting a new one. If you intend on driving the car until it dies then buying makes more sense, given current incentives. I love my 4-Runner. No problems, ever. the V-8 has given me about 18 MPG, which isn't bad for the engine size. However, the Sequoia is only marginally more expensive and offers a lot more room, assuming you need that room. If not, then the drop in fuel efficiency between the Sequoia and 4-Runner, IMO, makes the 4-Runner the better choice.
