Perchoutofwater
Well rifle season is just over a month away. We have a lease about 4 1/2 hours away in Abeline that has some great hunnting on it, deer, dove, quail, ducks, turkey and hogs, but being so far away limits how often we go. My brother and I are friends with our local game wardent, and through him found a guy with about 200 acres about 20 minutes from my house. Because the guy lives pretty far away, he really wanted someone on the land on a fairly regular basis just to make sure nobody is dumping or doing anythng illegal out there, so we have free reign of the place and the best part is he is letting us use it for FREE! There was one old stand on it. Me and my brother just bought two new feeders, and one new tree gorilla tree stand. Then my wife suprises me today, giving me a Leupold 4.5-14X50 VX-III with the Boone and Crockett reticle.
Big Country
When I saw just the title of the thread on the forum listings, I figured this was a Grits new baseball bat thread. Now that I have absolutely no idea what half the words in your post mean, umm, I guess congrats are in order.

It means deer season is almost here and me and my brother are having a great time preparing for it. We were out there with a brush hog earier in the week doing some clearing. Just having some fun, getting away.

whoopazz
Let me get this straight. You put out deer feeding stands, and when they come to eat the food you shoot them? Stealth.

It's a lot like having the in-laws over for Thanksgiving.

Without pushing your luck, you should ask the landowner if you can put in a couple of food plots. Clover or Chickory will keep the deer local. You can usually get the equipment for free from your local Whitetail assoc. or Quail Unlimited chapter. Your only expense will be the seed and your labor. Also set out a couple of those mineral blocks. You won't believe what the deer will do to those things or what they will do to the deer. Good luck hunting.
