detlef
I'd make a joke but it's been overplayed.

detlef
OK, so Big John can either kill this or everyone can talk about Hugh's box. Guessing killing the thread is the best scenario.
TimC
Have you ever tried to wrap a perfectly square box? It's darned near impossible. I admit I suck at wrapping stuff, but those shape of gifts are the most difficult.

TimC
Wouldn't that make it a cube? Oh look at Mr. Fancy Geometry Guy. Yes, a cube. Ever wrapped a cube? It's like wrapping evil.

Wondering why it is different than any other box? Is there a perfect amount of leftover paper on each side that it makes folding it neatly ner-impossible? Is it because you have no idea what is the top/side/bottom when you are done, making it impossible to label correctly? Does it not fit into a stocking without jamming-up and tearing the paper? You can wrap square paper around a rectangle, oval, quadrilaterals and polygons...and even a circle. But it is proven that you cannot wrap a square paper around a square box cube. At least in my world.
jetsfan
Oh look at Mr. Fancy Geometry Guy. Yes, a cube. Ever wrapped a cube? It's like wrapping evil. Ever try wrapping a sphere? Now there is a conundrum wrapped in an enigma.
