Chavez
But the #1 one hit wonder not yet mentioned.... - Greatest evah. Nuff said. "Space Age Love Song" and "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" both made it into the Hot 100 top 30. 1982 "I Ran (So Far Away)" 9 3 "Space Age Love Song" 30 59 "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" 26 3 First number is Billboard Hot 100, second is "US Main Rock" whatever chart that is. LOL My son in law really likes them. However, they had other hits that charted even higher than the one you mention. Not one hit wonders.... sorry. ...and my apologies to YOU sky, but the follow-ups didn't chart higher. They DID chart however. Chavez
Best one-hit wonder was probably Jimi Hendrix ("All Along the Watchtower" was his only US top-50 hit, IIRC).
Chavez
The Grateful Dead only had one single get up above #60 on Billboard's Hot 100.

The Grateful Dead only had one single get up above #60 on Billboard's Hot 100. Correct on both. In addition, Janis only had one too. Hard to call them one hit wonders though because of the body of work they all had.
Chavez
Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama I'm Coming Home" hit #28 on the singles chart, Ozzy has had nothing else go above 60.

Oh, I know - it's just funny to put up people who fall under the strict interpretation of "artists with only one hit single." EDIT - or even more interestingly, artist like, say, Tom Petty, who've had more top-10 albums (6) than top-10 singles (2). skylive5
Oh, I know - it's just funny to put up people who fall under the strict interpretation of "artists with only one hit single." I agree. Lou Reed is another one. Mike Oldfield is another. These types sell millions of albums but don't crack the top 40 but once. LOL And on your above post.... we are talkin' Ozzy here. I mean come on. Edited December 13, 2008 by skylive5
Chavez
... we are talkin' Ozzy here. I mean come on. Hey now, I looked up Metallica and they've had like 4 or 5 top-50 singles.
Sox
Marillion - Kayleigh - they were big in the UK, but don't recall another "hit" in the US. I'm not sure, but I always liked this one. Cover My Eyes
