Seahawks21
Sinatra, Sinatra, Sinatra. Maybe old Billy Joel. Erykah Badu. Ryan Adams, especially the "Easy Tiger" album. That guy gets ya where ya itch.
Yukon Cornelius
Music doesn't seem to help me chill out. I love listening to music but rarely when I am trying to unwind. All of a sudden that seems strange. wurd
BeeR
If you are looking for something not jazz your best shot would be Neil Young IMHO. If you got a drink and a cigar going, try some good Jazz. I prefer sucky jazz myself. Actually I'm not totally kidding now that I think of it- some stuff I otherwise wouldn't be much for (or flat-out couldn't stand) can be bearable or even worthwhile as casual background music, eg "smooth jazz" (even some of Kenny G-whiz's stuff - there I said it). Course you have to pick and choose...the Rippingtons tend to be a safe bet to me. If you're into jazz they won't exactly dazzle you, but IMO a great mix of relaxing but not "sleepy." Course some no-sh** real jazz can be great too. Classical is a good choice too, although some of that also can be too sleepy. Also Sinatra (or that kind of thing). Some lighter rock/pop can be good but it's more of a mixed bag in terms of being relaxing or not. I used to have a CD of selected tunes from various groups, I think that's the best way to do it. SheikYerbuti
Nothing like a bottle of Ripple and the Grateful Dead's "Ripple". The perfect recipe for chillaxin' in the crib.
