Caveman_Nick
I haven't seen the business model (ie. how they plan to charge), but if I can't play a game to finish for less than I could buy it for, why would I bother? If they allow for that, I think it has a chance.
Big Country
in an article I read, I believe the business model is that it will be a monthly subscription with a nominal fee for any title for which you wish to play (ie, and these are random numbers, say a fee of 14.95 a month to access the system, then maybe a charge of 4 or 5 dollars per title). More than likely, the set top device would be included with a subscription, kinda like the way most cable and satellite companies do. Avernus
I don't think this will take off... I think it will pave the way for a better product later on...this is just something waiting to be made an example of...

smithkt
I wonder how long it will be before the ISPs start crying about the extra bandwidth. Between this and streaming video from existing services like Netflix and Hulu, I'm betting we will see them start throttling or charging a premium. Comcast and Sony recently came together to open a store in the new Comcast building downtown and they are coming with a new Cable service that is 17x faster than the best Cable speeds now in the US... we'll probably still be slower than the rest of the world....but yeah...
