Perchoutofwater
The Washington Post is reportedly selling off the record access to congressmen and to people in the Obama Administration for as much as $250,000. I wonder what congressmen and the Obama administration think they are getting by allowing the Washington Post to sell access? What happened to not talking to lobbyist? Does anyone still believe in the integrity of the media?

Perchoutofwater
The article you linked says this isn't going to happen. It isn't going to happen because someone found out about it and called foul. The fact that it was going to happen is terribly disturbing, or at least it should be. Yeah, but the politicians don't claim to be unbiased, or to give an honest report on what they are doing.

Azazello1313
Yeah, but the politicians don't claim to be unbiased, or to give an honest report on what they are doing. the fact that they have contacts they can muster access from doesn't really destroy their independence or lack of bias. their shameless shilling and double-standards are what destroy their independence and lack of bias. they should have seen that this would be a PR disaster, though. can't really imagine what they were thinking. the papers must REALLY be hard-up for cash these days. hey, maybe we could all chip in and buy wiegie some "alone time" with christina romer

Perchoutofwater
The one in the leathers or the one in the Indian bonnet? He was pretty cool. His boyfriend was a drug rep, and in college it is always nice to have a readily available supply of muscle relaxers and pain killers.

AtomicCEO
He was pretty cool. His boyfriend was a drug rep, and in college it is always nice to have a readily available supply of muscle relaxers and pain killers. I am reminded of the story that used to go around in the mid 90s about the guy who used to ether his roommate and pound him in the butt. We didn't have snopes back then, so I don't know if it was true. Apparently it is not, but we still wrote a song about it. By the way... this thread is going great.
