tosberg34
It's pretty clear to me what the right side is. The right side is to take care of the fans. The Packers allowing Favre to play on another team is a disgrace to the Packer fans and the entire league. I think that most people, GM's and other football afficiandos would say that the right side is to take care of the team first. Fans need to be on board (and it's nice) but the financial stability of the team resides in keeping the team competitive - and that means releasing players REGARDLESS of who they are and making smart draft choices. Releaseing Favre was the RIGHT thing to do for the benefit of the team, as was drafting Rodgers. It may seem disgraceful to let superstars go when they are clearly past their prime, but it HAS to be done for the BENEFIT OF THE TEAM. Favre clearly put himself above that concept. I don't understand how you can buy into it as well. It's ridiculous. You haven't proven one point with anything you've writtten about this so far. You look foolish defending the concept of "one over many".
DaFreak
The game in 2 weeks is in Minnesota. The game in Green Bay is a month after that. And you have railed on Favre in the past. As a Bear fan I can attest that I have. I still think he is a legend though. Its just a little easier to swallow now!

Sunday Couch Potatoe
In your opinion. In my opinion your entire argument is flawed. Does that make me right? Absolutely Not. The problem here is we are not discussing solid facts but instead an ethical delimma (How the Packers handled Favre). It is impossible for either side to be right in a situation like this but your ego won't let you accept that in turn making you look like a fool. Now if you want to go back to the Packers being finished this year we are all going to have to wait and see. Never been a Favre or Packers fan. Precisely! Well put!! Double Agent
I lost a lot of respect for Favre after what he did to Green Bay and then Minnesota. But man that Sears commercial is funny.
buddahj
so if i'm understanding this "great farve" debate...green bay forced farve out. brett should've been allowed to be the starting QB until his late 90's or so. also green bay should have not been allowed to plan for their future without farve. so when he finally decided to retire...they would have to suit up the ball boy. is that pretty close??? Yep, I think that about sums it up. I believe that's a tried and true blue print for success and most teams have adopted it.
Randall
"Are the Packers Finished?" With Favre they are. Charles Woodson has plans for him though.
