jordanzs
Seems like almost every cheatsheet I look at, they're undervalued. I've been picking them up in almost all my leagues (I have the Eagles in 2 leagues, so no need to make any changes). Pretty much every week, the Bangles have made plays, they've been the model of consistency! The new Huddle cheatsheet ranks them 15th for the rest of the year, and fantasy index ranks them low too. I've had numerous weeks where I've picked up a weekly "plug & play" top 5 defense, and The Bangles always outscore them. When looking at the season long rankings, there might be higher teams, but a team like the 49ers will score 30 points 1 week & 5 points the next. I'll take the consistency any day (The Huddle ranks The Niners #12, which is 3 slots higher than the Bangles.) Wasn't Marvin Lewis a star defensive coordinator of the Super Bowl Champion Ravens? Maybe he finally inspired his team to play defense, instead of hanging out in jail. Is there something I'm missing, like an end of the season meltdown? Grimm74
Why would anyone question the strength of the Bengals D..?..
OCSkins
I agree, as they have at least 3 cake matchups this month---Oakland, Cleveland, Detroit. JaMarcus, Brady, and Matthew? Yes please!!! And then the Chiefs in Wk 16 for fantasy Super Bowls? I picked them up in both of my leagues, even though I already have the Vikings in both. And by the way, I don't think Marvin's had too much to do with it---he's been there for several seasons and this is the first one they've had a solid D, although last year was above average. As a Skins fan, I have to say Marvin didn't do a whole lot for our D when he was our D coordinator, and that Ravens Super Bowl victory was almost decade ago. He can't skate by on that anymore!!! Still, I think the Bengals oughta be higher, too.
major-tom
I picked them up in a couple of leagues recently.
jlotze
It's the Bengals not the Bangles ..I believe the Bangles were a female rock band.
kpholmes
What's this DST you speak of?
yo mama
CIN DEF isn't a "great" stand alone defense, but it pairs well with other DEFs if you want to play the matchups. Edited November 12, 2009 by yo mama
dirtysanchez1184
I dont see why theyd be a bad stand alone def, theyre the 5th ranked D in my league.
aruss
I have been riding them since week 2. Definitely consistent. At least two Turnovers a game and a few TDs here and there.
wolfer
I think losing Odom for the year reduced sack projections, which would bump them down. Their secondary was playing lights-out, but then Houston came to town and exposed some things...again a rankings bump. Now with the schedule finally softening up, yeah I agree this is a great sleeper D to own. Not quite Arizona sleeper good, but I'll be making a bid on Cincy this week. ABearWithFurniture
I'm thinking that most people are still having trouble 'grasping' both the Bengals and Defense in the same sentence...
Bengal Mania
I'm thinking that most people are still having trouble 'grasping' both the Bengals and Defense in the same sentence... Let's hope the Steelers are in that group, it would help this Sunday.
BeeR
It's the Bengals not the Bangles ..I believe the Bangles were a female rock band. I think that's the point Until this year anyway. They have been playing solid. I even picked them up to play vs PIT although I don't like the matchup - their upcoming cake schedule was too much to pass up and figure someone else would've nabbed them next week.
