The fact he was hitching isn't nearly as big a deal as he was hitching in Canada I can see hitching at home, but over-seas? When you have a fleet of limo's at your disposal? Maybe he just wanted to walk. And I don't think I'd ever pick up a hitchhiker. darin3 Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) My parents did once in the late 70's - with me and my sister in the car - one time near Idyllwild, California. He was just some young-ish kid (probably college age?) that was walking up the mountain into town. Quick car ride, he thanked us and that was that.
