Big Country
Oh, it's a crack pipe and a bag of meth ST. LOUIS (Reuters) - A kindergartener in rural Sweet Springs, Missouri, brought a bag of crystal meth and a crack pipe to school for show-and-tell, but an alert teacher kept the boy from sharing his treasure with others at the school, an official said on Tuesday. "He was very excited when he got to school," Superintendent Donna Wright said of the September 6 incident. "But I don't think he knew what he had." A teacher recognized the drugs and pipe and police were called to the elementary school. "It didn't ever get into the classroom," Wright added. "That was a first for show-and-tell in this town," Police Chief Richard Downing said. He added that the boy's mother, Michelle Cheatham, 32, was arrested later on drug charges and released on bail. "It was shocking," Wright said. "We're not experienced with dealing with this." The town, located 66 miles east of Kansas City on the Blackwater River, has 1,500 residents and about 425 students in its school system. Who do you think sold it to Johnny's mom? I mean, it's hard to get by on just a teacher's salary these days, need multiple income streams

Skippy
I have come to realize that the only way that I am going to lie to myself and pretend this is still the good old world that I grew up in is to not watch or read the news. Now I need to stop reading the tailgate. I am really starting to hate people.

SEC=UGA
I apologize for my ignorance. It's kinda like people thinking that GA and Bama are the same. It only takes a few mintues in each state to figure out that GA is WAAAAY more fu(ked up.
Square
I guess in my defense I just scanned through and saw that is said a little ways outside of KC. Since KC is on both Missouri and Kansas land, I didn't really draw much of a distinction for that area. My friends who lived in that area (quite a few buddies went KU and lived in KC after they graduated) typically lived on the Missouri side so my lean is to say that the MO side is better. So far as you're thinking of KC, you are wrong. The KS side is 100 bajillion times better. Heck, the KCMO school district just lost their state accreditation. It's an academic cess pool in that district. House prices reflect it. Etc.

So is the MO part better for night life or just cheaper to live? Just wondering, I've been down there plenty of times but I really don't pay attention to when I'm on one side or the other. Back when I had a social life and could get out for a weekend (pre-kids) we used to go down there and party in the Westport area. Ah...sometimes I miss those days....
