rajncajn
Well, this certainly makes the CJGJ trade a little more dicey. All I can say is I hope it's not true, but they had enough to arrest him so...
stevegrab
Doesn't sound good, not sure what "all the facts" are that he feels will clear him. Does he have witnesses? Dash cam video? The other car had multiple occupants that already gave a statement to police that resulted in his arrest. I went looking for more info, and reading a story on ESPN I see he has prior legal trouble(copied below). Odd that the NFL didn't include that in the story on their web site. Maye is already facing potential discipline from the NFL regarding an arrest on Feb. 22, 2021, when he was with the New York Jets, on charges of driving under the influence and misdemeanor charges of DUI/damage to property and person, leaving the scene of a crash and careless driving. His court date on Aug. 24 was continued until 9 a.m. ET on Nov. 16.

He's no angel that's for sure. If found guilty on both he could be looking at a serious suspension next season.

From the report, it looked like they were both driving recklessly, brake-checking & cutting each other off. It's possible the teenage girls lied about him pulling a gun out, but who knows. If he did then he deserves whatever he gets.
League_Champion
The report isn't real specific but I'd assume they recovered the alleged firearm. I couldn't see them making an arrest without that crucial piece of evidence. But who knows? These charges can go away as fast as they came. Yeah, there was nothing that said they recovered a firearm and the only video that has been referenced is the traffic cams, which supposedly corroborated the girls' account, but didn't mention if the gun was caught on camera. I'm reserving judgement here on the gun part for now, but it's obvious he was being stupid playing car jockey with a bunch of teenage girls.
