Yeah, that seems almost not possible based on how his leg was bent. . I'll bet anyone a few beers they find more damage than that intraoperatively. The report I read said that his ACL was strained/stretched but they do not believe it was torn. The bigger concern initially was other more serious damage to the arteries.
