broncosn05
If he could just stay healthy. 718734[/snapback] Have to agree with you on that one but Bell is pretty far up on my chart.
'canes2004
If they indeed do release him, someone is gonna pony up the cash for him. If he could shake the injury bug he would be a solid addition to any defensive squad. The big question is if.

All for Brooks(great LB from FSU) but dude is on the downside of his career I imagine he has probably two more years where he can contribute at a high level. Plus, he will cost around 9 mil this year.
Swampnuts
I hope this isn't true. The Hawks have the cap space. They need Simmons in the lineup, who do they expect to sign to replace him?
Seattlean
Simmons may set the world on fire when he's on the field, but the bottom line was that one of them had to go (Brown or Simmons). Both are not only prone to injury, but to injuries that cost them multiple games. You can cover for one of those guys in your LB corps, but having two just leaves you too thin. You can't build a championship defense while accepting the real risk of playing 2 backups and an overachieving special teamer for 5-6 games a year. Seahawks21
Ummmm its been reported on local radio, and John Clatyon came on today and said that it "will happen", most likely friday afternoon. I gotta say, Simmons and Kendrell Bell will become the biggest busts in free agency. They just can't stay healthy. They're insane physical specimens, but Bell hasn't had any production since his rookie year, and Simmons has missed 21 games over the last 3 years. I think you will see that Edgerton Hartwell will become the impact linebacker of this years crop, the kind of player that instantly solidifies a teams front 7.
