The NL West is just ugly, though. Why San Diego hasn't run away with this one yet is beyond me. Arizona and LA are really, really bad. SF is nothing without Barry, and Colorado's a joke. The NL East has some dang good teams; they're beatin' the crap out of one another real good. Atlanta will always be there with their solid mix of pitching and offense. Washington's of course the surprise team, getting solid play from no-names like Patterson. New York should be better than everyone else in the division, and Florida's pitching staff is keeping them in it... barring further injuries and possible trades, they may make some noise. Rovers
Another reason why the wild card was a good idea. Can you imagine a team making the playoffs with a losing record? It could happen this year.
I Like Soup
The NL East is arguably the best division in baseball (looking at records anyway). The fact that the Braves have been able to hang touch with so many injuries this year is surprising and a testament to the Brave's farm system. With three of their five starters coming off the DL and Chipper Jones coming back...Atlanta will win the NL East. San Diego got off to a great start and has had about two months of crappy play...and the fact that they haven't walked away from the division should tell you what to look for in the playoffs, a first round defeat! Four teams over .500 and the team with the best record in baseball. Who'd a thunk it
AtomicCEO
Colorado's a joke.894131[/snapback] I'm certainly laughing.
