What is a Jerricho Cotchery?

Weird play, tackled, landed on teammate, kept going and ran in for the TD.

Landed on opponent, you mean.... and knew it. Had the smarts to run it in from there. Get it right, at least, if you want to take pot shots at a guy who made a great play.

I am probably the one person in the English-speaking world who actually STARTED Cotchery LAST WEEK.

Part of my name (kwolf68) has to do with the NC State Wolfpack, my alma mater. I learned quite a bit about J-Co over the years, much of what has been mentioned already.

He DID break Torry Holt's records, but did play all of his years with Philip Rivers. Holt did what he did with Jamie Barnette (obviously NOT Rivers) at QB.

Cotchery isn't as talented or electric as Holt (or even our bad cousin Koren Robinson), but what a great kid. He is one of the most tireless workers I've ever seen.

Cotchery has amazing work ethic, tremendous class, heart, toughness, and courage. He will make the toughest of catches. Cotchery was more than willing to play on special teams when he first got to the Jets and has now waited his time, paid his dues, and is now living the dream he has worked so hard for.

He isn't a burner, but he’s sneaky and had many long plays at NC State. I like to think of Cotchery as a player who sometimes isn't as fast as the corner back covering him, but always gets to the spot before that corner back. In short, Cotchery KNOWS HOW to play this position. He may not be as fast as your guy, but he is smarter, tougher, and will beat your guy most often..

After having a crappy fantasy season last year, I came back this year and said, "Im gonna have fun". So when I learned Cotchery had won the starting job in NY, I put Michael Clayton on the bench in week 1 (I wasn't excited about the matchup as it was) and started Cotchery, a player I picked up that Friday before the first game.

Needless to say, he was in my lineup again today and I have no intentions of removing him barring injury. He is easily one of my favorite players to ever play at NC State and now that NC State is a pathetic, hapless joke of a football program we only have guys like this to think about to remember we had some good moments.
