I've always had them lighty battered and fried but I'm sure you can prepare it just like you would any light, flaky white fish. Just make sure you grill skin down or on tinfoil. They'll fall apart. Seattle LawDawg
Garlic, butter, salt, pepper Grill skin side down. I've topped walleye with a butter / macadamia mixture. Add it a few minutes before you remove from the grill so it will provide a nice crust. (you won't need to leave that fish on the grill very long)
Bier Meister
while i'm not a big fan of grilling bass, if i were to do it i'd keep it simple: in foil: olive oil, garlic, chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, thyme (can be on the stems), white wine, s&p. it will cook quickly. Azazello1313
for bass, i'd go with battered and fried first. not a great tasting fish on the grill, IMO. but a filet that big, yeah, maybe you put it in foil on the grill with white wine and some of the other stuff bier mentioned.
