GiantPlone
Name the number of players in the league, number of playoff teams, and if the Brady owner made it to the playoffs or not. I was looking at our league and he score disproportionately high compared to the rest of the league and I was amazed that his owner finished with a sub-.500 record. I was wondering the percentage of leagues where he scored that much more than anyone else and they didn't make the playoffs. I'll also list him and the next 3 high scores based on our league rules: Teams in League - 10 Teams in Playoffs - 4 Did Brady team make playoffs - No. Top scorers in the league: 1. Brady - 441 2. Romo - 375 3. Westbrook - 296 4. LDT - 294 Who else?????
Deep Bomb
Teams in League - 12 (20 starters per team - 11 Offense, 2 Kickers, 1 DEF, 6 IDPs -; PPR league) Teams in Playoffs - 6 Did Brady team make playoffs - No (final record 5-8) Top scorers in the league: 1.Tom Brady - 694.35 2. Tony Romo - 590.27 3. Drew Brees - 522.03 4. Brett Favre - 519.13 As you can tell, the league's scoring is incredibly biased towards QBs. Still, only the guy owning Tony Romo made the playoffs. The Brady owner was a real piece of work. He didn't turn up for the draft (Yahoo league), but still ended up with Brady, Plax, Holt and Winslow plus other decent contributors like Shockey, Jason Campbell (we start 2 QBs), Norwood (return yards count) and Lendale White (who he let rot on his bench in favour of DeAngelo Williams). Him missing the playoffs wasn't because of any bad luck in H2H matchups. Problem was, because Yahoo's rankings for IDPs are a joke, he ended up with crappy IDPs - practice squad players and even guys not in the league. He didn't make an effort to pick up any IDP FAs and there were a ton of contributors left in the pool. Because of Brady and the other studs, he would never get blown out but he'd always lose by 30 or so points which could have easily been made up with a proper defensive team. He posted on the message board so it was not like the guy never checked up on his team. Joke. He ended up being a major spoiler down the stretch though, knocking two teams out of the playoffs and ruining one guy's bid for a bye (the same guy I beat this week in the playoffs). rai
I knocked out the owner who had both Romo + TO he was out of the play-offs thanks to me beating him on the week Romo and TO scored 4 TDs in one game. It took a whole team, every player on my team scored that week. In my league Brady owner has the best record 12-2 and his team also as scored the most points. ROYALWITCHEESE
I have Brady: 12 team dynasty (4th year), 6 teams in playoffs. I finished as the #2 seed (9-4). Brady topped all scorers by 100+ points (2nd is Romo). On a side note, what's up with all these leagues having EIGHT playoffs teams? What's the point of the regular season? xMRogers
10 Team league / 4 Playoff Teams Brady Team 10-4 (tied with two other teams for top spot - got 1 seed on tiebreaker) Other playoff teams best - LT on 2 seed / West and D Anderson on 3 seed / TO, ADP and 2 decent QBs on 4 seed (had great start but injuries hurt him) Top players Brady 343 Romo 286 Manning 248 D Anderson 246 LT 246 Westbrook 242 So brady is killing everyone but Romo - the diff from Brady to Romo (57) is the same as 10 to 40.... RB's have been inconsistent/injured which is why I think you may see the West/LT/ADP owners in the playoffs as much as Brady - Ronnie Brown is still top 20 in my league
SuperCharger
I drafted Brady. Finished #1 seed with league top points. AD had something todo with that too.
BiGFish
On a side note, what's up with all these leagues having EIGHT playoffs teams? What's the point of the regular season? Hey I agree. We usually have 12-14 players and we didn't get the owners this year. As sad as it sounds I was one of those teams who made it in with a crappy record (5-8) and I just beat the #2 team(9-4) in the QTR Finals. I would have been pissed if it was reversed, but the commish wanted to keep it competitive the entire year. He was right. The last 2 spots went down to week 13 and everyone attempted to field a good team. I've seen it when folks loose interest as they are getting owned and it didn't happen this year. The Brady owner(12-1) beat me twice this year and I'm praying I get to the final to crush his arse.
SF409ers
12 Teams 4 make the Playoffs Brady owner out (7-7) Brady - 440 Romo - 343 Manning - 288 D. Anderson - 275 Edited December 13, 2007 by SF409ers
Delicious_bass
League 1: 12 teams(top 8 teams in playoffs, 2 division winners get top 2 seeds) Brady owner (9-8) playing Romo owner (8-9) in one semi. Brady 348 Romo 300 Manning 261 Anderson 260 Favre 251 League 2: 12 teams(8 in playoffs(top 4 from each division)) Brady owner(me, 10-4) playing Romo owner (10-4) in one semi. In this league, we play out of our division(which I hate) but not enough others seem to mind to get it changed. Brady 224 Romo 172 Moss 158 Manning 144 Favre
