No kidding. I'm a Portis fan, but Westbrook should have been 1st string over AP. Very disappointing.

Glad Nnamdi finally gets his national recognition though!

How can you not have the leagues leading rusher as the 1st string back? Westbrook had a good year, but its not a total slight. Portis, Peterson and Turner were all derserving IMO.

Sad that sacks are the only stats looked at for the DEs... Trent Cole and Abraham were both left off the list...

Yep Abraham deserved to be on there for sure.

Portis over Forte or Westbrook?

...

I'm with you on Forte but not so much on Westbrook.

He missed 2 games and in 5 others (including last night) he was virtually non-existent. He's put up some impressive numbers in those other games but that's hardly reason to give him a Pro Bowl nod.

Portis has broken down lately but he's played every game despite injury. He's put up 100+ total yds AND/OR a TD in 9 of 14 games.

If they were the only stats looked at then Abraham would've been the #1 DE from the NFC. I agree with the knocks on Abraham but shouldn't the DE leading the league in sacks be in the Pro Bowl? Just sayin'.

Westbook is 15th in the league for rushing and has 841 yards. Peterson has 9 games with at least 100 yards rushing and almost twice as many rushing yards. Add in Westbrooks 319 receiving yards and it is still nowhere near Petersons numbers.

AP - 1690 Total Yards, 9 TDs, 19 receptions

Westbrook - 1160 Total Yards, 14 TDs, 46 receptions

Westbrook pretty much missed 3 games as well.

Sure they have different roles in their offenses, and inury has to be taken into consideration for the Pro Bowl... but Westbrook's numbers are worth a ProBowl spot imo.

I guess there has to be a few odd men out every year though.

Reggie Wayne is going to the Pro Bowl and Calvin Johnson isn't.....(I know they are diff conf) - that's just NUTS. I actually can't necessarily argue about CJ not going as the four in the NFC that are going have had great seasons, but there is NO WAY Reggie Wayne should be going....

Rivers should be the guy, but I was just pointing out the not-so-obvious players who should have gotten the spot before Favre did.

Oh I agree... Favre = less yards, more INTs than Cassel, Pennington, and Garrard. I don't think any of those 3 are Pro Bowl worthy but based on that fact (and how he compares to Rivers), Favre's presence in this Pro Bowl is a mockery.

No Jason Hanson, no Megatron. Predictable, but still disappointing.

Portis over Forte or Westbrook?

Good to see Cortland Finnegan on there.

Peace

policy

That was my first thought. I think Forte deserves it and with Westbrook coming on over the past several weeks, he may deserve it over Portis as well.

Eli Manning, New York Giants - I guess the super bowl still casts its shadow.

Brett Favre???? what a joke. He is 12th in yards, 8th in TDs and #1 in interceptions. This is an insult to all QBs

Ronnie Brown, Miami - This has to be a joke. Has to be. he is 17th in rushing yards. He had one game all year. That is it.
