CFISH31 Posted November 9, 2010 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Alright I am sitting at 5-4 and have arguably the best team in the league!!! My players (basically Witten and Austin) inconsistency have killed me all year... Sitting 6th in a 10 team league and play basically everyone above me the rest of the season.. Doesn't look good right now and does anyone else have the same situation? Do you look to move big name guys or just sit and wait on them to produce and deal with their inability to produce decent fantasy points on a weekly basis? I have been sitting on V Jax and S. Rice in hopes that they will be a very valuable asset in a couple of weeks but do you see these two being WR1 and 2 in my league format over the likes of Randy Moss, Miles Austin and L. Fitz? injendsm Posted November 9, 2010 Share Posted November 9, 2010 I'm pretty much in the same position. I've scored over 284 four times this season (250 is an average score) and lost 2 of those times. It seems like every week I go up against the highest scoring team. There was one team I lost to five weeks ago that put up 260 against me but failed to reach that mark again until this past week. Too bad I have the highest points against total as well. Seriously, the 3rd highest scoring team in our league is whoever is playing against me. Thats not the point I am getting at.. I am saying that between last year and today I would say that the following team should be the best team on paper and by no means should I be 5-4? Wasn't asking what people thought of MY team just asking what people in the same boat have done when owning a team similar to mine? The only person on my team that is producing more than I expected is Orton but other than that I would start Austin Moss or Fitz every week but because this year has been completely different there are other reliable options out there but now I am setting with a team full of potential that is not being consistent... This year I have sold players high after maybe a stretch of two decent games and I was able to get MJD and Fitz hoping that they would eventually turn it on and MJD has had a couple solid performances since then.. So maybe your team is better than mine at this point but I am looking for solutions on whether I set here and get beat next week or I look to make a big move and if there are others out there that are in the same boat what they were looking at doing.. Henne, Palmer, Moore Peterson, SJax, Charles, Benson, Wells Boldin, Calvin, White, Harvin, Smith (CAR), Tate, Armstrong Keller and Witten. I started out 1-4. I have luckilly won my last four and sit at 5-4, but I am still 2 games back from the number one team in my four team division and one game back from the number two team. Brady CJ2K J.Charles RWayne M.Austin M.Wallace or Blount AHearnandez (previously D.Clark) Bryant Eagles DST Effectively, my team has lost Brady. D.Clark, and M.Austin due to injury or MossLoss. All other guys are both inconsistent and/or putting up average at best numbers...even Wayne. There is ZERO pop in my lineup...only hope is CJ2K and he has not been smelling the 2K in his name. To add insult to injury, I picked up Stafford on waivers just before he lit up the Skins. I was feeling some hope that I could make a run with him at QB and the Bills, Cowboys, and Pats up in the next three games.....DAGGER!!! another injury. Just been one of those years. Out of playoffs right now. 3rd place in pts for with 30pts off 2nd next to last in pts against with 0.46 pts above last place My team: Payton Manning, Fitzpatrick MJD, McCoy, Hillis, Blount, Wells CJ, Austin, Bowe, Floyd Traded Jennings (gave up on him) for Hillis Gonzo, Tamme Had Finley at the begining k and dst from ww Start qb, 2rb, 3wr, te, k, dst this team is really frustrating.... My guys just plain suck every other game and I can never manage to catch a break and catch the other teams worse day.. Oh well I guess thats why its a gamble.. Do any of you guys plan on making a big move and maybe moving 2 or 3 of your what you would imagine maybe legit WR/QB/RB #1 for making a trade for 1 or 2 of the top 5 performers in these positions? Bush WR - start 2 - AJohnson, Megatron, RMoss, Maclin TE - start 1 - Miller, just picked up Tamme, had Celek for one week he posted a zero I'm 5-4. Obviously I have choices to make from week to week. For four consecutive weeks now I have had a guy on my bench go off for 34 plus pts while my starter put up like 2 or 3. I realize this comes down to my decision making to a degree but we're not talking obvious black and white choices here. It's just been plain old bad luck from a weird season. I have been dang lucky and have not played the teams that have career days against me. I play match-ups on defense so my defenses have helped a lot. My team: Big Ben/ Flacco SJAX, Bradshaw, Blount (WW Pickup), P. Thomas Megatron, Colston (via trade for Torain), Britt (ww pickup), S. Smith (Car), Bess (WW pickup), J. This was just a general post on the fact that when I left draft day I thought I did a very good job with my picks and had probably the best team out of everyones and with a couple trades into the season I figured I was set and guaranteed success but I am just one game above .500...
