The Bye week team from hell...

I think you could actually draft this team...all with a week 7 bye

Tom Brady (3rd round)

LeSean McCoy (1st round)

Frank Gore (2nd round)

DeSean Jackson (4th round)

Mario Manningham (5th round)

AJ Green (7th round)

Vernon Davis (6th round)

NE kicker (whatever round)

Philly D (since I don't play in D/ST leagues I have no idea what round they go in)

I know that people try to avoid bye conflicts so they don't have to many players off the same week but honestly I would love to get all my key guys out in one week...take the loss and then be full strength the rest of the season.

Here are all the bye weeks...have fun and see what sort of bye week hell team you can build...try to stay true to draft round ADPs

Week 5 Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, Miami, St. Louis, Washington

Week 6 Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee

Week 7 Buffalo, Cincinnati, New England, New York Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco

Week 8 Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, New York Jets, Oakland, Tampa Bay

Week 9 Carolina, Detroit, Jacksonville, Minnesota

Week 10 None

Week 11 Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Pittsburgh

I would love this team and wouldn't mind taking the hit week 7

Not sure if DeSean Jackson would be available round 4 though ?

In all 4 of my drafts he went in either the 2nd or 3rd.

All 4 drafts were 14 teams

I took all those rounds from the SOFA IDP draft...no IDPs were off the board at that point...it is PPR so maybe that makes him slide some...Steve Johnson could be subbed in as a 4th round pick too...or take Hakeem Nicks in round 2 and Fred Jackson in round 4

Week 8 is really easy to draft a bye week from hell team on...

Matt Ryan/Josh Freeman (Round 5)

DMC/Matt Forte (Round 2)

Blount/Greene (Round 3)

Roddy White (Round 1)

Mike Williams TB (Round 4)

Julio Jones/Plaxico Burress/Roy Williams (Round 6)

Kellen Winslow/Tony Gonzales (Round 7)

Matt Bryant (Whenever)

Jets D (Round 8)

It's a pretty solid team too, with a bunch of options if some players get reached for.

This is truly the best way to approach a draft, not worry about bye weeks at all and instead of fearing players on common byes almost hope/shoot for it so that you are full strength the rest of the majority of the way.

There are actually strategies formulated around getting your guys on the same bye week. Basically you just give up one loss and keep your team intact for every other week. Its not a bad strat and probably works out well if your team has talent like the one you listed.

I'm still in the camp that I don't worry about bye weeks unless I am looking at two players I feel are already equal in my eyes.

Outside of the SOFA IDP Experts Draft all my leagues are dynasty leagues and I have quite a few out on the same weeks too:

Week 9 in this league has a ton on byes:

Jahvid Best

Jonathan Stewart

Calvin Johnson

Josh Scobee

Ryan Longwell

Jared Allen

Brian Robison

Greg Hardy

Jeremy Mincey

Thomas Davis

Antoine Winfield

Captain Munnerlyn

Chris Houston

Chris Cook

The best part is this isn't even a guarantee. You'll certainly have backups that are playing that week, and your opponent might have key players out too. Toss in the right combo of your bench with Breaston vs. Oakland, Lee Evans vs. Jacksonville, Kevin Walter vs. Tennessee, Colt McCoy vs. Seattle, etc plus his own bye week issue of any combination of 2+ of Vick, BJGE, Benson, Steve Johnson, Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, and Celek. Plenty of opportunities to still pull out a win.

Bye weeks worries are for pickups, not draft day.

Actually I can come up with a pretty good second week 7 team:

Week 7 Buffalo, Cincinnati, New England, New York Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco

Vick (1)

Nicks (2)

Bradshaw (3)

S. Johnson (4)

Benson (5)

Maclin (6)

Fred Jackson(7)

Eli (8)

Gronkowski (9)

A.J. Green (10)

Gresham (11)

Ridley (12)

Tate/Price (13)

Kendall Hunter (14)

K (15)

DEF (16)
