robert terni
Was going to type this up 2-3 weeks prior but figured it was too early..But after this week I can say this with confidence.....THIS YEAR SUCKS!!!!!!!! So many underperformers, INJURIES etc.....Every players besides maybe a couple or few in ALL positions is consistent..You have AJ GREEN for example 1 week score 10 pts but the next scores 30...Every single skill position is NOT consistent like the old days..I remember the days where you plug in Randy Moss,Owens,LT,Faulk and your GUARANTEED 20+ pts EVERY week..This yr..not so much..takes the fun out of it...For example..In 1 of my leagues in 12 teams i'm 1-5..LOOK AT THIS TEAM...tons of BIG names RG3 Forte Sproles AJ Green Demaryus THomas Witten And i'm 1-5 LMAO.... What happened to wittens old days..now he scores 5-8 pts.. Sorry had to vent...I have so much passion for football and fantasy but fantasy is just not fun anymore... stevegrab
Things are more difficuly, more challenging, but that shouldn't take all the fun out of it. In fact for many it would make it more fun. Just drafting a bunch of studs and plugging them in every week for their 20ish points seems kind of boring.

While watching Romo throw up a whopping 20 combined points for me over the last two weeks has certainly been frustrating, it does have me thinking of all sorts of moves I might want to make this week to shore up the position. If he had played as I expected, I wouldn't even be thinking about it now.

MTSuper7
You weren't guaranteed 20 points from your studs every week back in the day, and you aren't now. We have a selective memory with stuff like this.
wpayers
On the contrary, this is when the fun starts! Wheeling n' dealing trades, betting on the right waiver wire horse and seeing those frontrunner teams come back to the pack.
nelsosi
I've been doing this for about 25 years, and I honestly don't recall a year with this amount of combinations of injuries and underperformance by 'starting caliber' players through only 7 weeks. Very strange year so far.
kingsofromance
Demarius has been frustrating. I am beginning to think Peyton has a bromance with Wes/Decker. I don't really get it because Demarius has the highest upside. He might be the best yards after catch in the league. He can break one anytime. nelsosi
Peyton, like Rodgers and Brady, doesn't force the ball to people. He tends to take what the defense gives him. There will be days when Demaryius erupts and days when he is quiet. He's top 5 among WR in standard scoring, so you can't really complain. whomper
Running backs are what really surprise me this year.I thought the first round was just loaded and a great deal of them just flopped badly
DuckDuckGoose
I think all these rule changes has caused for a higher upside in injuries.
Wiseman155
Couldn't agree more. If you could describe this season in one word, I would use Volatile. I expected to have the best team in my big money league this year. Now I'm at the brink of not making the playoffs. I would definitely not describe this year as "fun". At this point, I am considering in cutting down my fantasy football leagues next year. I might even try FanDuel or DraftStreet, which seems way less volatile since you aren't stuck with your draft for the entire year.
stethant
I think all these rule changes has caused for a higher upside in injuries. I highly doubt this. Now, if you want to start talking PEDs, I'm in....
DuckDuckGoose
I highly doubt this. Now, if you want to start talking PEDs, I'm in.... I mean, it could be debatable but from my perspective it seems ever since they started enforcing penalties against high hits and helmet to helmet collisions with the fines, more and more players are hitting lower and aiming for the legs. I'm seeing guys with more leg injuries like (e.g. torn acl, lcl, hamstring issues, knee issues, broken ankels, foot injuries) all the way around, IMO. I think i would rather take a helmet to the shoulder chest area than a helmet to the knee/leg area.
kidsgotsoul
Losing a player or two can make things interesting, especially if you land one of the waiver wire gems, but the novelty wears quickly. Lost Vereen and Cobb on top of underperforming Trent, Roddy, and Sproles. That league is pretty much no fun at this point, even with landing guys like Allen and Moreno. I essentially have no studs starting. Witten has been okay for PPR (2 big games and at least 8-11 points) and Ryan has been reliable but he's not going to win me games ever. He is about to blow up. Has probably the easiest schedule for any TE in the league ROS. He will finish top 5 maybe top 4.

A lot of retired players have been vocal about the fact that the leagues emphasis on getting rid of headshots has led to defenders erring on the side of low hits and resulting leg/knee injuries

Eric-B
Ive had season ending or very serious injuries this year to vereen, andre brown, david wilson, cobb, and now doug martin. It's not my year apparently. Still afloat at 4-3 somehow though.

Seattle Sucks
Just do what I do. Have at least 3-4 leagues. At least and draft different players in each one.
