Graham back to Seattle

Seattle's offense really started clicking once Graham went down, so there was quite a bit of speculation that they would try to move him this offseason. 'Hawks GM put those rumors to rest in a recent interview. Not a huge story IMO.

I think they had an option. He's not going to succeed there. They use the TE to block not catch. He's a better fit for Atlanta,SF,Houston,Oakland type offenses.

I dunno about this. I think they can adjust their offense for him and are seemingly willing to. Clearly he's a talented enough receiver that they think he will be successful once they figure out the system.

The passing game after Graham left exploded. The offense also was best without Lynch on the field. Cutting or trading Graham wouldn't be out of the question. But, I'd caution correlation without causation.

Graham has a lot of talent but, he's not Gronk. He's a WR in a TE position. They want Graham to change for them and it won't work. I know FF fans want it to but, that's not going to happen in Seattle. He's a guy you change your offense to utilize. They seem unwilling in Seattle so, he's just collecting his money for now.

Really?

Really?

I'll admit I hated the move when they made it and I think he made us soft. I also think you're going to see a bit of a transition to the pass. I think Graham will be okay here next year. We gave up a pro-bowl center and a first rounder. Short of beating people up in the locker room, ala Percy Harvin, I don't think there is anything Graham can do to not get a second season. That said, if he isn't any better next season than he was this season, he'll be gone at the end of it.

There were rumors about his release because he has a 9.5 mil cap hit and all of that can be avoided with his release. Plus, his injury is not that easy to come back from.

All that being said, I dont see how a healthy Jimmy G doesnt help their offense. Yes, they got better after he went down but that had a lot to do with being forced away from Lynch (injury) and needing to win games.
