Canes losing

Impartial to who won or lost last night...but I have to say I feel terrible for the kid from Louisville that had an INT in his chest during that winning drive by the Canes. Poor kid won't get over that for a long, long, time.

No kidding! That probably would have sealed the victory. That broke my heart (as a Seminole fan). Miami always seems to be able to pull out the victory. Lee Corso was dropping all kinds of 'nole plugs during the game. It probably would have pissed UM fans off...had they not beaten us everytime since 1999. :D

I watched the 4th quarter in a pub. When that happened I commented to the guy next to me,"Looks like this kid receives the Lewis Billups gameball."

How one play can turn the game around...Berlin threw it where the receiver was supposed to be, but it looked like he quit on the route.

I believe there were 3 1/2 minutes left in the game and Miami only had one TO left. One first down and the game would have been over...poor kid.

IS it just me or did Louisville D run out of gas in the 2nd half.  Miami may win out, but there is no way this team jumps in the polls unless OU or USC loses.  Id love OU to get Miami in their backyard.

Their D may have run out of gas, but their special teams killed them and it didn't help to have a true Freshman come in to play on offense, although he didn't exactly kill them...he played with poise. If Miami is the third best team in the country, that's strange, unless Louisville is vastly under-rated.

Watching the game as a long time Canes fan I was nervous. Louisville is highly underrated. They deserve to be in the top ten. Their starting quarterback was 9 of 10 in the first quarter or so against a Miami defense that allowed less than 100 yrs passing this year. They played their hearts out and have a very good head coach. They will be a force when they get to the Big East and are able to recruit.

Lousiville made Miami look bad and should've won the game, though as a Canes fan I'm glad they didn't. I think Louisville was underrated coming in. After the game Chris Fowler actually said that in his AP poll he was going to raise Louisville a couple of spots after the loss, which tells you something.

Brock Berlin looks like he's never played football before in his life under center and like an all-time great in the shotgun. I don't know if I've seen such a drastic difference in a QB before. I wish the coaches would call some shotgun before they're down by 21 points from now on.

You hit on the head gil. Miami is NOT the 3rd best team in the country. They're winning so that's a plus, but they're very young on both sides of the ball, albeit very very talented, and I don't forsee a NC run for at least another year or two. While I personally believe USC is highly overated as well, the 'canes would be had pressed to compete with OU as of now, especially against the Sooner def and especially with Berlin at QB.

I just hope Coker sees that Brock feels much more comfortable in the shotgun then he does linning up under center. He has played his best when they go shotgun/hurry-up. Maybe more of that to come this season. I hope.
