Bushey
5. Boise State- He he...They laughed. Nobody wants to play these guys though. Only Loss came against a good razorback team.
Hugh B Tool
None of the above are better than Miami, all four could beat OSU (especially away from Columbus). BSU?, come on now. They'll be lucky to play and win in the Tidy Blue Bowl.
Kansas State 2000
It's hard to say which teams are better without a playoff; the teams you listed are without a doubt the hottest teams in the country. Kansas State has already beat USC and has outscored their last 5 opponents 253-30 that's 51 to 6 per game. Kansas State has the #2 scoring offense, #1 scoring defense and the #1 scoring special teams. Look for them to be a pre-season top 3 team next year with a NC shot. Iowa could easily be undefeated; they blew a large lead to Iowa State. They are like KSU a balanced team that can hang with anyone at this point. USC destroyed UCLA, if you cannot pressure Palmer and have a couple solid DB's you're toast vs. this team. Oklahoma will destroy Colorado in the Big 12 championship game. Oklahoma could play with most teams in the country; they would contain Palmer and win there. Iowa and Kansas State would give them fits though with their balanced attacks. Miami is still the best team and Ohio State earned the second best tag with their undefeated season. After that get a coin because only a playoff will tell the tale of these fine teams. justin
last time i checked, Miami still has to win two games before they get a Fiesta Bowl invitation. if Miami were to loose, i think any of the four teams listed would be strong arguments to play in the Fiesta. OKL has to be next in line, but if they were to loose in the Big 12 title game, KSU, USC, or GA may have an outside chance.
zeeman
If Ohio St played these teams on a Neutral field, I think they would be an underdog In order 1 Kansas St 2 USC 3 Oklah 4 Miami 5 Iowa 6 Texas 7 Penn St 8 Alabama 9 Fla St. 10 Oregon St. Maybe Oregon St wouldn't be favored, but I wouldn't bet against them. Kansas State 2000
Team Rankings Defense #1 Kansas State #7 Miami (Fla.) #9 Oklahoma #14 USC #22 Ohio State #39 Iowa Offense #2 Kansas State #4 Oklahoma #5 Miami (Fla.) #6 Iowa #13 USC #47 Ohio State eek! How does a team get to 13-0 with the #22 Defense and the #47 Offense? Has any other team than Kansas State ever finished as the #1 Defense and #2 Offense or better in the history of the NCAA? Sgt. Ryan
Oklahoma in 85 was #1 in both, and did win the National Championship
SteelBunz
As an Ohio State homer.......I have to admit.....13-0 is a mystery to us! With a few exceptions this year........they only played as well as they had to to win. If any other OSU fans would be honest......we didn't expect this AT ALL. But......it's still pretty amazing! And it feels awfully GREAT! They might get creamed.......or......they may eke it out.....we'll just have to wait and see. wink Go Bucks!!!! McSooner
Sgt. Ryan is right. In 85, OU lead the nation in: Off. scoring Off. rushing Off. total Def. scoring Def. rushing Def. passing Def. total That, my freinds, is a feat that will NEVER be duplicated. zeeman
I was listening to a show on the radio and one of the bookies said Miami would open as a 11-12 point favorite, as long as they get by Va Tech this week. I follow the Sagarin Ratings and the Predictor rating at the far right does come out to close the line of each game.(Team1 -Team2) Ohio St. is #12 in the predictor, but they do deserve the chance to win it all, since they are undefeated. How come the Big 10 doesn't have a championship game like all the REAL Conferances. Afraid of an extra game? Iowa vs Ohio ST would really determine the true winner of the Big 10.
