Patsfan04
Patriots huddle with LB Brown Ex-Seahawk Brown pays team a visit By Jerome Solomon, Globe Staff | April 26, 2005 Former Seattle linebacker Chad Brown, released by the Seahawks last week, was in town last night for a visit with the Patriots to discuss how he would fit in with the team. A 12-year veteran, Brown spent four years with Pittsburgh before joining the Seahawks. A former Pro Bowler, Brown, who turns 35 this summer, has been plagued by injuries the past three seasons, playing in just 29 of 48 games. Last season, he appeared in only seven games and had 37 tackles at strong-side linebacker. At the conclusion of the NFL Draft Sunday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick indicated that outside linebacker was a position at which the team needed to add free agents before training camp. "Outside linebacker is an example of a position where we haven't drafted anybody and really haven't signed anybody, and we need to go to camp with a couple more players than we have there," he said. Wizards
JMHO...Brown is shopping right now...believe Packers will have him visit too....he wants to play on a contender...believe he could only add depth in most cases on most teams...i.e. Steelers, Patriots, etc....on the Packers he could start as they are in need of a Chad Brown.....JMO
