  1. but yo mama said he is the starter
  2. QB Matt Schaub should be able to do some damage in the passing game today. Patriot CBs Tyrone Poole, Chad Scott, and Randall Gay are all out today.
  3. Falcon QB Michael Vick will not start today. Matt Shaub gets the call.
  4. Cmon back and bring all your little make believe friends
  5. Week Five’s Quick Sunday Update: Brown WR Braylon Edwards was not on the injury report this week and practiced all week, but he will miss today’s game after undergoing a procedure on his elbow due to an infection. This is good news for WR Antonio Bryant, who should be a little more active, and Dennis Northcutt, too. WR Frisman Jackson should be more involved as well. Falcon QB Michael Vick (knee) was downgraded to questionable on Saturday. And although he is still a game time decision, that chance that backup Matt Schaub starts this week is very real. We will send an e-mail update if Vick is not set to start today around 12-12:15. Packers RB Ahman Green (quad) is not expected to play. Najeh Davenport is expected to start, but this will be confirmed about 45 minutes before game time. Buccaneer RB Carnell Williams (foot/hamstring) didn’t practice all week, which is a bad sign, but his status will be determined at game time. If he can’t play, RB Michael Pittman would start. Saint WR Joe Horn (hamstring) was limited in practice all week, and his status is still a game day decision. WR Devery Henderson would likely start for him if he can’t go. Steeler WR Hines Ward (hamstring, questionable) practiced Friday, a good sign. Ward said all week that he would play, and at this point, it would be a surprise if he didn’t start. Bengal WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hand) hasn’t practiced at all this week and remains questionable for tonight’s game at Jacksonville. We might have more information later today, but right now we’d have to say that he is a very risky start, since the game is tonight. Rookie WR Chris Henry will get more snaps if Houshmandzadeh isn’t in the lineup and WR Kelly Washington will also see more time, if not start. Titan WR Drew Bennett (foot/knee) didn’t practice this week and is listed as questionable, but he is expected to play. Steeler RBs Jerome Bettis (calf) and Duce Staley (knee) both practiced Friday and are listed as probable for Monday’s game at San Diego. Bettis is expected to be the backup, so he has to be viewed as a better option this week than Staley. Bettis should get the goal line carries at least. Staley, meanwhile, actually has a chance to be inactive because he doesn’t play special teams and RB Verron Haynes does. Buccaneer WR Michael Clayton (shoulder) practiced late in the week and is expected to start today. Ram WR Isaac Bruce (toe) is not expected to play today. WR Kevin Curtis will start for him. Seattle WRs Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram are still out. WRs Joe Jurevicius and DJ Hackett will start for them with WR Peter Warrick working as the #3/slot receiver. Warrick is best utilized in that position, so he should be active. The Bears signed PK Robbie Gould, who beat out a few others this week, just in case injured kicker Doug Brien isn’t able to go. So avoid Brien this week. Patriot DE Richard Seymour (knee) is not expected to play today, which is good news for the Falcons. The following injured players are expected play/start today/Monday: Eagle QB Donovan McNabb (groin/chest/abdomen) Patriot QB Tom Brady (shoulder) Jet RB Curtis Martin (knee) Bengal RB Rudi Johnson (knee) Panther RB Stephen Davis (knee) Colt RB Dominic Rhodes (shoulder, questionable) Eagle WR Terrell Owens (shoulder/abdominal) Jet WR Justin McCareins (back) Raven TE Todd Heap (ankle) Titan TEs Ben Troupe (elbow) and Erron Kinney (chest) Bronco TE Stephen Alexander (thigh) Cardinal TE Teyo Johnson (ankle) Saint TE Shad Meier (knee) Bear TE Desmond Clark (neck) The following injured players are still very questionable to play/start today/Monday: 49er WR Arnaz Battle (knee) Ram TE Brandon Manumaleuna (knee) Packer TE Bubba Franks (knee) – He may play, but backup David Martin will see more time than usual anyway. 7. Cadillac Feeling Better, May Play Sunday Skip directly to the full story. Published: Oct 8, 2005 Related Links: Football Q&A Sign up for Bucs Insider email updates Webcasts: Cummings | Kaufman Fantasy Guys blog Game-by-game highlights ADVERTISEMENT More from this channel: Search our archives: Type keyword(s) 30 days6 months2005200420032002200120001999199819971996199519941993199219911990All Past 7 days most viewed | Tribune archive from 1990 TAMPA - Cadillac Williams missed what many coaches consider to be the most important day of practice Friday, but his chances of playing Sunday against the Jets may actually be increasing. Though Williams has sat out each of the three workouts this week and continues to wear a protective boot on his sore left foot, he is starting to show signs of improvement. "He's getting better," Coach Jon Gruden said. "He did things with the trainer much better today than he did the previous two days, so I'm encouraged by his progress." Progress aside, the Bucs will wait until just before game time Sunday to make a decision regarding Williams, who is hoping for a situation like the one he went through last week to develop. "Last week, I didn't feel my chances of playing were too good, but I wound up playing anyway," Williams said. "It will all come down to what [trainer] Todd [Toriscelli] and Coach Gruden decide, but I definitely want to play. "I mean, I'm feeling pretty good today. It's not too painful. It feels the best it's felt, so that's a plus. [The trainers] just thought it would be better if I stayed off it and got some more rest." WHAT'S THE RUSH? The Bucs will go into Sunday's game against the Jets with the league's top-rated defense. The most amazing thing about the accomplishment is the fact they've done it without much of a pass rush. The Bucs rely heavily on their four defensive linemen to create pressure on quarterbacks, but that pressure hasn't always been there this year. "If you want to grade our pass rush by the number of sacks we have it's an F," said DE Greg Spires, who has one of the five sacks recorded by the defensive line, which has gotten three from Simeon Rice and one from Anthony McFarland. "Now, a lot of teams have been trying to get rid of the ball fast against us, and that has something to do with the lack of sacks, too. But really, we can do better. We know we can do better." One of the best opportunities the Bucs will have comes this week. The Jets have already allowed 14 sacks and at 41 years old, Vinny Testaverde is not the most elusive quarterback in the league. "Vinny is a guy who releases the ball fast, but I think we can get pressure on him," Spires said. "We can definitely pressure them to the point where he's either taking the sack or throwing an interception. That can happen." THEY LIKE IKE: WR Michael Clayton's sore shoulder may mean more work for fellow WR Ike Hilliard this week. Hilliard, obviously, would welcome the extra work. A former Giant, Hilliard will be making his first trip to the Meadowlands since leaving New York as a free agent last spring. He is hoping to play a bigger role in the offense, but it's hard to say if he can play a more important role. Though he's caught just five passes so far this year each of Hilliard's last four receptions have come on third down. "He made a big play to help us beat Green Bay -- a huge third-down play, and he had two of them against Buffalo," Gruden said. "You put him on the field and he's a player. "I have a lot of confidence in him. If he gets his opportunity, God knows what he'll do with it. We're excited to find out. He brings experience and talent to the table, he's still got life in his legs and he's a quality receiver." INJURY REPORT: Like Williams, a decision whether to play SS Jermaine Phillips will be made just before game time Sunday. Phillips, who is nursing a sore thumb, is also listed as questionable and would be replaced by Will Allen. LT Anthony Davis (shoulder), Clayton (shoulder) and FS Dexter Jackson (hamstring) are listed as probable for the game. Roy Cummings
  8. The White Sox will go to the World Series.
  9. I also think Indy should be ranked higher this week but you know the old saying you get what you pay for . Another pay site has them ranked 5th this week behind Bal, Tam, Atl, and Cin.
  10. “It is a little frustrating,†wide receiver Brandon Stokley told the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. “We have to get better. We understand that. We’re not playing as well as we should be playing. We have to get back to work, turn this thing around and get touchdowns instead of field goals.†Through the first three games the Colts have scored just 47 points after averaging almost 32 points a game last season. The passing game has been the biggest mystery. Peyton Manning has not had a 300-yard game and has as many interceptions as touchdowns, while receivers Stokley, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne have just one touchdown combined. But despite all the offensive misgivings, there is still a lot of people in the Colts camp believing the high-powered offense can turn it around. “I think our offense will score points. That’s one of the last things I’m worried about,†head coach Tony Dungy told the Journal-Gazette. “We just haven’t finished our drives.†I know I’m not going to play any of them for now.
  11. Heres the rest of story yo mama cut out: Spencer said the Bears have a plan for getting the two on the field together, but not in a conventional I-formation with one player moving to fullback. "We have all the things, the tools and packages, to get both of those guys in,'' Spencer said. "It's just a matter of plotting where we want to. When we get to that point, we will. And we're trying to get there.''
  12. The over/under is 42. Rattay can’t move, McCown can’t throw. Neither team can run. So, yeah, I’m thinking about the under.
  13. The new conservative Indy offense isn't going to work.It wasnt really the defense's fault last year that they couldnt advance far in the playoffs, last year the colts record breaking offense mananged to only score 3 points in the playoffs last year. It was the Patriots defense's fault!
