  1. per CBS Sportsline: Jerramy Stevens OUT for Week 6 Jerramy Stevens, TE SEA News: Seattle has listed TE Jerramy Stevens as inactive for Week 6 at St. Louis. Itula Mili will start in his place. Analysis: Stevens was believed to receive around 30 plays on offense this week but won't be getting them now. Reserve or cut him in all leagues.
  2. Yep, just got it. The News Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is inactive and will not play Sunday against the Titans. Martin Gramatica will start in his place. Our View The Colts have a bye next week so we expect Vinatieri will be healthy enough to kick again in two weeks against the Redskins.
  3. FYI: Not looking good for Vinateri this week From KFFL: Colts | Gramatica re-signed Sun, 8 Oct 2006 08:11:15 -0700 ESPNews reports the Indianapolis Colts have re-signed free agent PK Martin Gramatica (Colts) to an undisclosed contract. Colts | Vinatieri downgraded to questionable for Week 5 Sun, 8 Oct 2006 08:09:25 -0700 ESPNews reports Indianapolis Colts PK Adam Vinatieri (groin) has been downgraded to questionable for the Week 5 game.
  4. Sal P on ESPN reported him out due to wet field in the Meadowlands, although not official yet
  5. KFFL quoting espnthat Vinateri is out: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/NFL?all=1 Colts | Vinatieri OUT for Week 3 Sat, 23 Sep 2006 11:40:03 -0700 ESPN reports Indianapolis Colts PK Adam Vinatieri (groin) is out for the Week 3 game.
  6. From the Wisonsin State Journal, seems to point towards Morency being the starter: http://www.madison.com/wsj/home/sports/ind...=100085&ntpid=4 "...If Green can't go, backup Noah Herron and recently acquired Vernand Morency would share the load, just as they did in practice Friday. Herron said he got most of the work on third-down situations in practice Friday and expects to fill that role against the Lions, while Morency did the early-down work and might even start against the Lions if Green can't go. "Every day, I prepare as if I'm a starting back so it won't be a big surprise for me on game day. That's just the nature of the beast," Morency said. "I think I'm fine (with knowing the offense). I'm just going in every day hitting the playbook. I feel very confident and very fast." Morency came over from Houston in the Sept. 12 trade that sent halfback Samkon Gado to the Texans. Morency played only on kickoff returns Sunday against New Orleans but McCarthy had said earlier in the week that he intended to use Morency on offense this week. "Morency's ready to go," McCarthy said. "He took all the reps today, him and Noah. We planned to get him more involved this week just at the beginning of the week, and so he'll be ready to go."
  7. Any Colts Homers have any info? Did he aggravate his ankle, or are the colts just being cautious 09/17 17:17 Colts: Vinatieri doesn't finish The News Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri did not come out for a kickoff in the fourth quarter after making a PAT for undisclosed reasons. Hunter Smith, the Colts punter, handled kickoff duties for Vinatieri. Prior to that, Vinatieri made three field goals and four extra points. Smith attempted final PAT for Colts in fourth quarter and had it blocked. Our View This is troublesome news for Vinatieri owners. The fact that Smith attempted the final PAT certainly indicates that all is not well with new Colts kicker. We will continue to monitor this situation, and will update his status when mor information becomes available.
  8. He is entering the magical 3rd year as a pro. has always been regarded highly during training camp and pre-season the last two years as a hard worker and someone who was always making plays. In year one he was mainly a KR and special teams guy. In year two he was he was buried on the depth chart behind Wayne Chrebet and mcCareins, until Chrebet went down and then he got some time. Now that OC Heimedinger is gone, he has passed McCareins on the depth chart as the #2 on the JETS. That will probably be a decent spot to be as Coles gets double teamed and the runnign game is stuck in neutral.
  9. Hypoythetically, if westbrook is out: I am curious if Buck would really be the starter, or if he would continue to fill his current role while Moats gets the starting gig as the westy clone
  10. LOL, TJ has matured Jones, Thomas RB CHI Updated 12/27/02 News: Jones' future in Arizona is now in question. Marcel Shipp signed a four-year contract extension on Thursday. Jones is back in his Virginia home after breaking his right hand Thanksgiving weekend. He told the Cardinals he broke it hitting a counter while reaching for a ringing telephone. The team put him on the non-football injury list. Jones has one year left on his contract, but he already has received his signing bonus and could be cut from the squad without being due any more pay. If the team chooses to trade him, they could get a lower-round draft pick. Jones is a risky player to own in keeper leagues.
  11. Every year I take one of the Denver understudies in the last three rounds. More often than not this has led to great upside later on in the season. This year I took Cobbs in the 16th and last round. It might take 10 weeks, but at some point he will be worth a pick up. If Mike Bell gets hurt, I think Cobbs will fill in the starter role.
  12. As a Jets fan, I hope Herm stays, and it looks like it is in the hands of the front office to allow him to leave -- Chiefs HC Search Begins -- Mon Jan 2, 2006 --from FFMastermind.com One of Peterson’s favorite candidates, Jets HC Herman Edwards, appears to be off limits. Edwards has two years remaining on his contract, and Peterson said NFL tampering rules forbid him from contacting the Jets regarding Edwards. “If the Jets call me, obviously I’d talk to them,” Peterson said
  13. Won my local leagues SB with: LJ Tiki Mike Anderson (Flex) Hasselbeck, Holt, D.Bennet, Shockey, Patriots D, Rackers
