it never rains here and it was apparently coming down pretty good and his pro day was outside... was apparently very impressive even in the rain.  couldn't have worked out better for him with the teams needing QB being based on the east coast

Darnold says Jimmy Haslam is a great guy and it'd be awesome to go #1

I'm no draft or college expert, but I trust Dorsey to make the right decision. There are groups of fans in most of the QB camps, some swear it must be Rosen, others Darnold, fewer on Allen, even fewer like Mayfield.

He better have looked good. All his throws were scripted, he had his own receivers, and he was in a venue he is completely comfortable in.  If he didn't look spectacular, then he is not ready to be an NFL quarterback. Pro days imho are a farce.

So it was pretty much an NFL Environment...? Game plans script throws, they throw to their receivers all the time, they don't draft random ones before the game like pickup ball, and you play 8 games in the same stadium per season, another 3 in division rivals so that is 11 out of 16 in a comfortable venue.

I agree pro days are a way to keep the NFL in the news during the off-season and hold little value, but conditions yesterday were far less than perfect for him and that was one of the jabs at him not throwing at the combine. Conditions were far from perfect yesterday and he still threw, it would have been more concerning if USC rescheduled the pro day or moved the location indoors.

Was listening to a local AZ sports radio show yesterday.  1 of the hosts were saying that "his sources" were saying that the Cardinals reps who were at Darnold's pro-day said it wasn't overwhelming.  He was throwing to receiver(s) he had rapport with along with no defensive pressure.

The co-host then said that he heard the Cardinals were considering trading up with the Browns at pick #4 if Darnlod was still available.  Cardinals would give up this years 1st, 2nd, and 3rd along with next years 1st and 2nd.  If that happens - welcome back to being the irrelevant Cardinals of 15 years ago..

So, it wasn’t overwhelming...but they would give up 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and a 3rd?

smoke and mirrors, most of the TALK in the off season is just that. I get it that some fans want to be plugged in and engaged, live and breath NFL 24/7/365, but for many of the rest of us (even guys who watch 6-8 games every week) its just a bunch of noise.
