darin3
Per Adam Schefter on Twitter Quote John Elway announced the fifth overall pick is for sale. 11:43 AM - 19 Apr 2018
NAUgrad
I was thinking that they might move up to 2 and get Barkley. Guess not!
darin3
One of those teams that badly needs a QB.... they're interested.
NAUgrad
Or you could look at it as every pick is available for the right price.
Wolverines Fan
If the Patriots truly want to trade up, here's their big chance.
michaelredd9
He also said he would be willing to move up from the 5 spot. And that he would pick the best player available if he chooses at the 5 spot. He basically said nothing.

Browns GM John Dorsey said as much at one point, he was taking a lot of heat from fans for considering offers for #1 overall. In my view you're dumb not to listen. But announcing the the world via twitter that the pick is available reminds me of posting your on my fantasy side trade block, it is usually something people do after not being able to find a trade partner by talking to other owners. 7 minutes ago, michaelredd9 said: He also said he would be willing to move up from the 5 spot. To the outside observer Elway has steered this team straight onto the rocks other than the Peyton signing. I would think there's some idiot team that will pay more for the 5th pick than the Patriots.
