NSab
I am sure it is hidden. So is Eblaster which I just looked up...it is more expensive than DMD's but gives you real time email logs of all chats/emails sent and received link 1283756 Thanks. Puddy
I definitely do not want to invade my kids privacy unless I'm suspicious or something. I'm guessing there's a way to click how much info you want to know. I want her to know that I trust her and like someone else said, don't want to know all of her discussions with her friends. Can you imagine: "My idiot dad thinks I believe in Santa" "He bought me this dumb telescope when a gift certificate to Limited Too would have been so much better" I don't think I can handle that type of stuff

TimC
By the way...I have NetNanny that I no longer use. If I can dig it up and anyone wants it, drop me a line. It blocks sites and words of your choosing, but doesn't pry like John Ashcroft.

DMD
DMD, do they know it's there? My kids are teens and computer savy, can i install it and hied it from them? 1283747 It merely adds one more icon to the system tray on the bottom right of your screen (assuming you are using windows). That icon is password protected if clicked on. They would never know it is there unless they starting clicking on icons in the system tray which my son never has. It shows he then went to a page that had skull graphics on it. He knows I have something on it because I have it set to not allow him to view pages with pornography, hate sites and some others. If you set it to allow access to anything, then they would never know it was there. As it is, if he tries to go to a blcoked page, he just gets a white screen. He strongly suspects the internet is not down for just him on particular web sites but is not sure. I dislike invading privacy but my obligations as a parent supercede that in my opinion. I may scale back on what I prevent or even viewing IM messages in the future, but a 12 year old kid is just not ready for that sort of freedom in the world today far as I am concerned. Piranha
Thanks all! and DMD, that pretty much looks like the lingo that my daughter uses on IM too, most of it I can't even understand. and we agree on this "I dislike invading privacy but my obligations as a parent supercede that in my opinion. darin3
Another thing - MySpace is probably the most popular site for teenagers and from my experience (albeit limited), is not a good place for your 14-15 year old to be spending their time. I mean Darin is on there for crying out loud 1283752 I would bet the house that there are more Huddlers with Myspace pages. Heck, I use my Photobucket account for most photo-sharing.
